No point to trade Hamhuis is anyone could mke Clendening a solid defenceman it would be hamhuis. Would rather trade Edler then Hamhuis (return would be better and edlers hit and miss)

If they trade Bieksa (or one of the other vets) they need to bring in another veteran D-man. This is too young and too soft. Trading Bieksa and Edler would leave our "toughest" remaining D-man as... um... Sbisa?

They also need a bigger veteran presence than this if you want to develop these young D properly. I don't really consider Edler that guy (is he the guy we want teaching the young guys???). I also don't see Tanev as that guy yet. Still a little young, and he seems pretty quiet. Maybe he is, but this doesn't seem like the optimal development environment.

Nothing wrong with having Franson here as long as we move the right DMEN (cough cough) Hamhuis and Bieksa out. If Franson is used properly he will be just fine here.

Keeping Bieksa here at this point is redundant...unless MNGT feels the need to give him 'one more shot'. He is unwilling to play the role in which he is needed that was pretty clear last season. He doesn't fight or crash and bang anymore and is basically a turnover machine. I like the guy and what he has done in the past here for us but if he doesn't meet our requirements why keep him?
