Yes,yes I know. No fault can be placed on anyone associated with the Sabres.
Quote from Bylsma "We selected guys that were tougher to play against" - sbroads24
If you're mocking me for supporting Murray, Thats fine. And I know facts don't belong on this website, but if you blame one person for choosing a team when it ultimately falls on a completely different person, it should at least be noted if not corrected. But whatever.

I'm mocking the lack of accountability you place on anyone in the organization. All I said is it makes me iffy, I wasn't a Bylsma guy before the hire either. I think he's another Ruff.
I guess it's just weird to me that people have such faith in Tim Murray because of how great an interview he is.
This guy was a part of the team that traded Ben Bishop for Cory Conacher. Why are we so confident he will find the right goalie?

see that is where I disagree
Pommer IMO is as versatile as any player up front IMO
great pk
decent pp
shoot outs
responsible in his own end
doesn't take the bone head penalty
Pommer should have been a sabre for life - homiedclown
Everyone loved Pommer. That said, we got rid of him at exactly the right time. He is a second liner on a good team and a first liner on a bad team. Successful sports teams aren't sentimental when it comes to their good players because they will eventually fade. Also, we got Zadorov and Larson in that trade.
He chose Ryan Callahan and Dustin Brown for the US Olympic team, and Jason Pominville doesn't even get consideration. - sbroads24
Well then I'm glad he's not the GM if he had the final say and if he did not advocate for Pominville in the back rooms and if Poile and the rest of the management team did not overrule him. That is a lot of ifs

I have faith in him because he hasn't given me a reason not to yet. Thats why. He may have helped draft Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf and he also may have helped trade Bishop for Conacher. But he hasn't done anything yet that proved to harm our team. So until then, I'll continue to have faith. I hope I'm not getting too hardhatty

If he didn't have a say in Perry or Getzlaf, and didn't have a say in Cowen or Bishop or that putrid trade for Bobby Ryan then I don't know what exactly he did, and I'm not sure why he's qualified to be our GM

Even if he did pick those guys over Pommer, so freaking what? It isn't like someone picked their kid over a quality player. Some quality players were picked, others weren't. Happens every time a team like tha is put together.

"We need to be tougher to play against"
A. Dan Bylsma
B. Ted Nolan
C. All of the above
I guess my point is that I don't suspect these massive upgrades from Regeir to Murray and Nolan to Bylsma.
They will both make mistakes, there is no issue with critiquing their past work

A coach coaches, GM's build teams I don't see a real critique of Bylsma with Pominville not being on the US Olympic team. I see that as just finding an oblique reason to find a fault. In due time will have plenty of direct reasons to critisize him.

Oh, I have to completely agree with you there. We should not have traded him. But once he got the C, his ticket was written out of town.
BTW, Ek says that Carolina listening to offers for Skinner.
Skinner > ROR > Kessel > Nash >
In order of value/worth to this team. He's still young, a pure sniper and I'm not really worried about him supposedly being "1 hit away from career ending concussion" because, really, isn't EVERY single player one hit away from that?
It would take the same, maybe a little more to acquire him as the others. The only real problem is he is a LW and we don't need them.
You are right everyone does. Which is my point, let's not act like we have this Hall of fame GM and coach now. - sbroads24
I'm not quite sure I see all this talk that Murray is a hall of fame coach or that Bylsma is a great coach.
With Murray, his aggressive nature is in total contrast to the prior guy who always wanted to win every deal instead of making the necessary deal that meant improving the team but possibly losing the deal.
With Bylsma, it's the stink of Nolan's coaching style, if he even had one.
So it's nothing more than perspective comparing to what Buffalo has now compared to the prior guy.

Can't wait for the next couple of weeks!!! Exciting times ahead, can't believe how many try to find any negative angle they can on here. But love most of you
Bought a pair of Bills seasons tix from a friend!!!!
If you keep Pommer there is no Eichel or Zads. Any other questions? - Slump Buster
Eh. I don't know, really. If you keep Pommers, we never trade for Moulson and Vanek leaves in FA so I'm not really sure he lifts this team out of 30th the past 2 years, at least not this past season.
BTW, am I the only one who sees Zadorov as a bigger sized Weber? I just do not see him ever developing, in fact, I think of all our prospects and young players, his ceiling is the lowest. He might be almost there now, IMO. Experience, conditioning might make him a better all around player, but I'm just not impressed with him at all so far.
