horrible deal to be stuck with Greening, some want Hodgson gone and now we are talking about taking on Greening ? not a chance. - SABRES 89
Greening cost 2.6 mil for 2 more years is that that bad? It's not like we can't waive him right? Hodgson costs almost 5 til 2019... Not really comparable |

Then you can waive him and send him to Rochester. Like the Regehr/ Kotalik deal - mattmoulson
Counts against the Cap when you do that now |

Just saw this on the Score:
The NHL is reportedly ready to embrace 3-on-3 overtime.
Pending approval by the Board of Governors, the league will implement 3-on-3 overtime for five minutes in regular-season games beginning next season, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports. |

I wouldn't think he would come here. There safest bet would be brining in a veteran RW, even if it is overpaying for Justin Williams, and then using pick 21 and a prospect for a a prospect more along their development such as Mantha or Rychel.
I really don't want to see them move Pysyk, Ristolainen, Zadorov (my favorite of the group) or McCabe. Too solid of a foundation to start breaking apart. - Mentalorgasm5
They best NOT be dealing Pysyk, Risto, nor McCabe .. I really want to keep Big Z too...but someone has to go I gues.
Again, for me I wish they would just keep their players and develop them and let the fans enjoy the team formation process.

Correct. $900,000 falls off the books when you send a guy with a higher contract than that to the AHL. |

I'll take Kessel just don't like the years left on his deal but, i'll take him. - SABRES 89
All the guy does is score goals but I think the money could be used better.
Hell, I'd rather offer sheet Hamilton and have a KILLER defense for a long time and have money left over. But it'll never happen. |

Murray will push but I still think ROR ends up re-signing or on the leafs. |

Murray has already named Risto as one of the guys that he has 0 plans on trading. I'll throw something if they trade Pysyk. |

Hamilton would be great only thing is he is a RHD. Not saying I wouldn't love to have him but currently our RHD looks like risto, bogo, pysyk. Our LHD looks like zad, McCabe, weber. So if we made a big trade for defense I would prefer picking up a LHD |

Pysyk is a very nice player but he's not irreplaceable . Hes a right hand defensemen and we already have risto and bogo as our top 4 RHD. So he a 3rd pairing going into the future. His mysterious injury that he suffered could be more serious than we all think or know about. I don't know I like him but I think he could be a trade piece the more I think about it |

The way I see him is he's gonna end up being that very solid all around D that you need for a deep playoff run. His skating is so effortless he's gonna be able to play big minutes. He also has a ridiculously good outlet pass. I'd be more inclined to move Bogosian than Pysyk. |

While I agree with everything you said there, I have to disagree about moving bogo over pysyk. Bogo brings what pysyk does not which is the physicality, size and above average offensive upside |

Well regardless of what anybody thinks about ROR, this is what I know. Not think.
TM loves ROR and really wants to come away with him this weekend. He's going to push hard. If we land him, who knows, I'm NOT saying something is imminent. What I'm saying is don't be surprised if we do indeed get him and pay more than what most of you would want. No, I'm not saying Reinhart but something like Zadorov, 21, +. - Homer
I'd rather trade Bogo, 21, + for RoR. I like Zads potential. |

same is true of Pysyk's smarts and passing ability. If it came down to deciding between the two, I'd rather move the guy making more than 5mil a year. |

ARI GM Don Maloney says he has two firm offers to trade outright the No. 3 overall pick in draft that give him "pause to consider."
What would it take? |

Murray traded for bogo so I doubt he moves him. And yes you have to love zadorovs potential. He's a stud left shot defensive prospect with size, physicality, above average skating and underrated offensive upside. He's part of the future here |
