Weber is a UFA after this season... I would imagine that McCabe and Ruhwedel will be RFAs that are resigned and Weber is not. Pysyk is a RFA right now.

Lol true... but at the same time some of those young talents can be moved because they don't have NTCs.

Those guys coming off the books is 9+M in free space too. They could easily trade Callahan or a young guy to make space for Drouin in their top 6 as well.

and Sustr is an RFA right now. I f'n LOVED him coming out of Omaha.

Weber has lead our team in blocked shots for each of the past 3 seasons..

In 2014 he was 12th in the NHL.
In 2013 he was 16th in the NHL.
In 2012 he was 25th in the NHL.

He is not a top 4 guy but his role in the bottom 6 DEFINED and definitely NEEDED on this team.

I have posted for 2 moths how to fix it


option A, get a pp d man that normally plays bottom pair minutes 5 on 5, Green or Campbell

option B, get 1 or 2 top 4 d men so pysyk and Z are your bottom pair as they grow into the nhl, Martin, Sekera, Zidlicky

option C trade for 1 or 2 players that can make an impact for a short time
