I'm perfectly happy. So long as we don't trade Reinhart. - HonkFortheGoose
I just have a hunch that Foligno might get traded. Hasn't really played that great since the beginning part of the season a few years ago before the shoulder injury. They can't find a way to get him comfortable at center or wing and we have power forwards such as Fasching, Bailey, and Baptiste coming up in the next year. Not to mention Kane on top line with Girgensons and Larsson on the 3rd line too. |

Lack and Miller split 45 and 41 this year... Miller went like 29-15 and Lack went 18-13 but Lack had a better GAA and a better S% - JVince11
Doesn't chang the fact that you can do just as good in FA than trading for him, IMO. |

He won't be traded. His reputation on this team is better than his value to the rest of the team. |

Agree Vince, might see a trade from no where? Foligno might need to be packaged in a deal to bring that top 6 forward (that might not be ROR) |

Who is available at 51 that projects better than Lack's ceiling?
Honest question. |

It sounds like it will be to buy him out or trade him with a 3rd or 4th and retain half of his salary and take back another iffy contract. - JVince11
I don't think they will retain any salary (unless it is equal or less than the buyout cap hit).
I heard they got offers for a 3rd round pick, sounds really low, but I see them taking it if they are going to buy him out |

Could be to make room for Winnik or Beleskey. |

I too thought Folingo would be traded, I know Murray said something near trade deadline about not trading him, but as a building piece as something you say to try to increase value. I hope it works. |

When everyone was drooling all over Jonathon Bernier in backing up Quick on a championship contending team his numbers were....
9-3-1 1.88 GAA and 9.22 S%
5-6-2 2.36 GAA and .908 S%
11-8-3 2.48 GAA and .913 S%
So when you look at Lack compared to that.... |

I would take a 3rd for Hodgson instead of buying him out.
Unless the progress he is making in Sweden is actually showing Murray and Bylsma something. |

And scary enough as it is to say... last year was his best year in the NHL with 20 pts in 57 games.
had 19 pts in 74 games and 18 pts in 47 pts before that.
I don't see him as anything more than a 3rd line and a 2nd line PKer at best. |

I don't think he is worth that much as he will likely be a fringe second line player. |

I don't really have a problem with Lack, I just don't see a reason why we need to trade for him but I guess the 2nd rounder probably only has a 50:50 chance in playing over 3 years in the league anyway. So it probably doesnt hurt. |

FORGOT EICHEL!!!!!! lol
Not a bad weekend but I don't picture that getting Oshie as much as I'd love it to unless you are putting up like Pysyk or McCabe. I don't think Compher or Hurley make that deal work. I hope we wouldn't deal Bailey or Baptiste in that either. |

Plus, the team only has 50 contracts. Murray needs to start moving picks for other assets. They won't be able to sign all of these players. If you get Lack for a couple of years, it allows Makarov, Ullmark, Peterson and the like more time to develop. |

Change Oshie to Okposo for 21, Foligno, and Prospect
Trade 51 for Lack.
Eichel, Okposo, and Lack added in the "first two rounds"

Yea I see him as 4th line in a year or two. So if you can get something for a 4th liner, you take it. Very replaceable.
He has good games and then 5 no show games. |

Here is something....
Oshie
19 G 36 A 55 PTS in 72 games
21 G 39 A 60 PTS in 79 games
7 G 13 A 20 PTS in 30 games
19 G 35 A 54 PTS in 80 games
ROR
17 G 38 A 55 PTS in 82 games
28 G 36 A 64 PTS in 80 games
6 G 14 A 20 PTS in 29 games
18 G 37 A 55 PTS in 81 games
THEY ARE IDENTICAL!!!!
And people think that ROR is worth a 2nd overall pick. |

My concern with Oshie is the ability to diasppear in the playoffs. I would rather have whatever prospect or pick you would have to give in the lineup as they could be a difference maker when we are hopefully contending.
