fair points. I agree with you. - JCSabs06
Not like I really care
I just think OV got hosed, lol
I wish the NHL would focus on making the 1st 60min of the game more exciting instead of worrying so much about ot
Let these talented players show off their damn skills!
Eliminate the interference, etc
Make the nets a tiny bit bigger
Make the goalie pads smaller
Don't let players lay on the ice to block shots (can't believe someone hasn't gotten hurt very badly yet)
Go to a 3-2-1 point system |

Yes he is, Rinehart, will out perform Strome at both ends of the rink, as well as, out score him every season they play in the NHL. - MEBSabresFAN
McDavid, eichel, strome, hannafin and Marnier are all projected to do better than reinhart. The 3rd pick jn this years draft is more highly rated than the 2nd pick in the weak class of 2014. |

Went to edc Vegas in 2013, TomorrowWorld last year and went to Miami during Ultra in 2012. We didn't want to go into ultra, we went to all the shows outside and did some of the yacht cruise and hotel parties. |

I'd have been pissed if we traded two 2nds for him
I hope we move on to a different target - jdfitz77
agreed. Lack for 31 doesn't appear to be such a bad option, does it? Or bring back Neuvy or Lindback for a couple of years at a reasonable rate.

Looking back what Ottawa pulled off this year was absurd..should be interesting to see what hoffman and stone can do this year. |

I will say it everyday people forget we had Roy and tim c top 20 centers
Then cody ott and lame-o
Thank God that's over with - gerbe75pts
I think "Tim Connelly" gets a bit of a bad rap with some of the posters here.
When we traded the disgruntled, Peca, for 2 young 1st Round Players , Connelly, had a few amazing years.
05/06 = That Amazing Playoff run was LED by Timmy 8 Playoff Games 11 pts, Ottawa targeted the hottest player in the league, Major Concussion.
I was impressed with his drive and professional dedication, (back then concussions hadn't been talked about, his people knew how to protect him, yet he receieved jeering from Buffalo Fans for being too brital/glass jaw/TinMan Timmy, (today that would come across disgusting to mock a players struggles with Head Concussions) then he camme back with a drive and purpose to produce:
07-08 40 pts
08-09 47 pts
09-10 65 pts
10-11 42 pts
He was never a number #1 Center, but he was clutch in the Playoffs 21 games / 30pts
He scored some of the most skilled goals I've ever seen by a Buffalo Sabre
1. Shorthanded against Ottawa, dekes Alfredson on to the ice, skates down Left wing, fakes the pass across, toe drags the puck past the defender and goes short side back hand!
I mean Ray Emery, looked over his shoulder with about 2 inches of room and just shook his head!
P.S. He completed, almost, this identical fake pass score shortside backhand against the Maple Leafs that year and again the goalie couldn't process what he had just done.
2. Against the Flyers he skates the puck from his blueline, then enters the Flyers zone, begins a sick stick handling display that drove him around 4 Flyer defenders before he roofed it Top Shelf!
3. (2 for one here) Game 1 vs. Ottawa (Most entertaining game I have ever watched!) While killing a penalty with under 1;45 to go he dekes out of his zone creating a 2-1 with Roy, makes a sick deft fake then passes to Roy for the Tap in to tie it 5-5. (Ottawa Scores) Then with less than 11 seconds on the clock he swoops in and "chips" the puck top shelf to to Tie the game again at 6-6
I'm not asking to retire his number, I'm not suggesting he could'nt have been stronger, or that he should have taken checks better, he was not one of the Sabres best players. But he did thinkgs and over came odds that most would have not.

I don't think Lack is a "Good" #1
So i'd rather use that pick on Samsonov if he falls, or even Blackwood or that huge Czech goalie
And I want no part of any goalie we had last year. They're all backups, or low end starters at best
IMO anyways |

Yep, he was a decent low end #2 center that had injury issues
Became a very good PK guy for us towards the end of his time here
He just never produced to his draft position, & was prob judged too harshly BC we just lost Briere & Drury...
Too much was expected of him
But he really was an "OK" player for us
