Here's an interesting idea: would you ship Lecavalier to Arizona if the Flyers had to retain a milion or less in salary and also give up a prospect like Nick Cousins?
What's the return in such a scenario? Draft pick? |

I think if we retain salary the return should be a guy like Chipchura who can go to the AHL with no cap penalty. Cousins isn't worth losing to move Vinny this summer. |

I don't think it's necessary. Flyers don't really need the cap space this year, and I would think if a buyout doesn't happen this year; next year would make Vinny think a lot harder about sitting in the pressbox for a season.
I think the scenarios are:
1. Mutual Buyout this off-season
2. Vinny stays, rides the pressbox for 15-16, and Mutual Buyout next off-season.
I just don't see a trade happening. The Yotes have done enough favors for teams. |

If we take MDZ to arb and are allowed to buyout Vinny during the 2nd window in August, what is his buyout numbers after paying him his bonus today? Anyone know? |

1. Find out which teams he'll waive his NTC for,
2. Trade him to one of those teams (along with a minor inducement),
3. His NMC gets voided in the transaction,
4. The receiving team immediately trades him back,
5. Flyers tell him you can have fun in LHV, or mutually term., or retire.
