But according to all the Hawks fans, Saad was going nowhere. |

Columbus is the real deal and will be very tough to play against. Their players are built to wear you down in a 7 game series. Pens better have a good game plan tomorrow the and over the next few weeks after if they plan on hanging with jackets and caps next season... |

According too black hawks fans no one ever wants to leave Chicago and they will take a pay cut to stay there. |

Hawks fans didn't think he was going anywhere...
Saad said he wanted to be a Hawk.
He knew we were in cap hell.
He asks for 6.5 per year on his first real contract.
Stan sends him to Hockey's equivalent of Hell. |

I think their may be a little bit of trade flurry first thing tomorrow morning, since there are a ton of good RFAs without contracts. Should be interesting. |

If only I wasn't traveling home from DC when this broke...I'd of parked my butt right on the Hawks board smiling big. |

Meh, I loved Saad. But he was also playing next to Hossa and Captain Serious.
Lets see how he does as 'the guy'.
No way the Hawks could have paid him 6.5 on his first real contract. He's not Crosby.
all the best. Just glad he didn't go to a division rival.

Frolik #1 option according to Yohe. I'm starting to believe we'll get him.
St.Louis a pass for the Pens.
Oshie mngmnt likes a lot too. - Barnaby36
Yohe updated his post on dk too
Beleskey unlikely, wants too much
St. Louis no interest
Tlusty as a backup if nothing better happens. Frolik a more important target.
Tikhonov expected to narrow list to 5 tomorrow and Pitt expected to make the cut.
Some interest in Semin, but only on their terms preferably one year.
Still hope to get Comeau as depth piece, like his ability to play with Malkin in spurts.
Rutherford still trying to get a trade done first. |

But he's not about the money...he was willing to take a hometown discount and would never accept and offer sheet. Now, where's my six fiddy (6.50)? |

He doesn't have to be "the guy". Columbus has a bunch of talented, young forwards with Johansen leading the way. |

TIOPS says that Pens targeting Mike Santorelli in free agency.
Wouldn't be a bad addition, especially if Sutter is traded. |

I'm not sure what the deal is with Yak but I highly doubt he is on the trade block. Edmonton was praising his growth by the end of the year. Even they know his value is much higher than Sutter. Unless they believe Sutter, Pouliot, and a pick is coming their way I don't see them trading him.
They could easily grab a rugged third line center tomorrow. Or they can contact St.Louis about the rumored Oshie and Shattenkirk. |

Really? Not too bad. He is a center that can also play wing if I remember. Could come cheaper than many other too. |

I think we're targeting everyone but St. Louis and Adams at this point |

I think you'll be very pleased with Dano at 925K. If he takes Saads spot with Toews and Hossa, I bet he puts up 60pts.
That was in reply to the Hawks fan, quotes not working again. |

All this hype about trading Kessel to Pitts, yet there's not really much there to offer in return outside of draft picks. PIT seems totally unwilling to move any one of value and they want TOR to retain salary. Doesn't sound like a deal is going to happen at all. |

Edmonton doesn't really need another young LHD with Nurse and Reinhart. |

Dreger said that the Leafs would like to retain him too. Hope is that by the deadline in 2016 some team will be ready to go all in on him. |

That's right, I forgot about Reinhart. Then we don't have anything to spare. We are in a tough spot. We need to make a few frugal moves tomorrow and hope for the growth of a few key players. |

Pouliot is the Pens best prospect and it isn't even close. The only young player more valuable is Maatta, and he's not being moved, seen as long term top pairing guy. Creates a bigger hole by trading him.
TOR and PIT are clearly playing chicken, but I agree, Pens probably go another route. I don't think Toronto is getting what they want this off-season. |
