You'd have to be a golden boy to get a crack at the top 6 at 20 years old under Therrien. They do seem to like him a lot mind you.

Hasn't Galchenyuk been in the top 6 for 2 seasons now?

Pretty sure they asked him to throw the puck behind the D and hit them as hard as he could. Just imagine the Therriensplosion if god forbid he tried to carry the puck in and created a turnover.

yeah, like 95% of the players in the league not named Crosby, Ovechkin, Kane or Malkin.

To be honest I can never really get a handle on his attitude towards young players, it's all over the place.

Most coaches are like that. Less so than in the 70s and 80s though.

what do you think made Brian Flynn expendable? i mean, aside from the fact that he (frank)ing sucks.

I really see Bergevin trying to acquire Staal at the deadline.
He's attempted a big move every year at the deadline and it's the right time for the deal. If it pans out, then re-sign him instead of Plekanec. Or even better, find a taker for Desharnais and re-sign both. If not, let him walk and re-sign the guys that are there.

Flynn was re-signed so they don't have to waste young guys' time in the press box. They made a seat in there with his name on it over the summer.

Mitchell is fine. Flynn yeah i don't see the appeal given that we already have 7 or 8 of the same player. Bergevin really is in love with his grinders.

That guy stinks!!!

Let's package him with a 2nd round pick to get a solid 30 goals winger!
