Is that what I "should" do?
A witchhunt? They "took the hit"? Oh boy.
Listen - he can be the best trainer in the history of the sport, and he may very well be. I will not dispute that, because I honestly do not know. But not including the part where they got caught cheating on the biggest stage possible, seems a bit misguided, not to mention misleading, - hscesq
If it was a piece about steroids, or a piece about Francis himself, I might agree. Otherwise, it is just white noise and off point.
They need to acquire talent on 1 year deals, hope for them to play well (which will boost the Leafs position in the standings) & then flip them for a higher quantity of draft picks. - WaterBoy
Well you aren't going to get firsts for these guys. It's easy to move up in the draft though if you have more
any truth behind J.Tlusty and mtl?
Are the mtl media speculating on this as well? - MTL1
Doubtful, apparently Bergevin is off to Alaska to hunt wolverines with his uncle Rico...
Strange considering they already have a wounded one somewhere in the State of Florida...
Not trying to mislead. The point was simply that Francis has a legacy beyond that event. Talk to many strength or sprint coaches and his name will come up as a mentor or an influence.
We all know the history of Seoul. I felt that did not need to be re-hashed. In fact, I thought some might not know of Francis' larger contributions and simply remember him from the Dubin Inquiry.
Was that a witch hunt? Did Francis and Johnson fall on their swords? It's a larger piece and one for another day. Read "The dirtiest race in history" by Richard Moore for an excellent account of what went down. - Habs Talk
Lewis failed drug test administered by the US leading up to those Seoul games as well as his teammates but they kept it quiet and sent them all anyway.
