i think it tells you more about Leaf fans than anything else. 1) they really haven't had much to cheer for in the last 4-5 decades and so a guy like Clark who scored 50-60 points per year in a very high scoring era, maybe gets a bit more love than he would otherwise get; and 2) Toronto embraces heart and soul players like Clark and Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker the same way Montreal embraces creative, artistic players like PK Subban and Alexei Kovalev.

Adam, you need to check out the pain rankings on NFL.com. Things are much worse out there for fans of other teams.

The only reason is due to the mental edge that Crosby has knowing MAF is back there, probably paying attention to the game.

Yeah i haven't seen the top teams yet, but there's a good breakdown for every franchise. Here's and excerpt.

The game was played in terrible conditions with sub-zero wind chill. The Chiefs turned the ball over four times and kicker Lin Elliott missed field-goal attempts from 35, 39, and 42 yards in a 10-7 loss. The misses can be seen in a YouTube video titled, "Look The Devil In The Eye!" Feels right.

"I tried my hardest," Elliott said to the assembled media that night. "Maybe I'm not good enough, but I tried. Maybe I was not good enough for today, but it's good enough for me as a person that I tried."

Well, good enough for some people. Derrick Thomas told a local radio show he was going to "kick his ass," in reference to poor Lin. Something tells me Elliott didn't get invited to the "Babes, Bros and Jet-Skis BBQ '96" bash at Neil Smith's place that summer. Lonesome kicker, indeed.

The crushing loss is known by Chiefs fans as The Lin Elliott Game. Tip for pro athletes everywhere: You never want to be connected to "The (Insert Name Here) Game." No good comes of it.

Fun fact: Since the Chiefs' lone Super Bowl win in 1970, Kansas City kickers have made just 12 of 25 field-goal attempts in 16 playoff games. The Chiefs have lost 13 of those games, including six defeats by four points or less. That's some spectacularly crappy kicking!
