For sure, but at least he didnt don anything stupid ( see Clarkson) or like giving 5.5m to Frolik to lure him away...there was not much to go after this summer...

And dont we always complain that the youngster are lacking a true chance to stick with the team... They have a real shot at a top 6 now !

His plan since day 1 has been loud and clear.. build through the draft.

Quite sure the price for a top 6 forward ( that fits the bill) was not something the organisation was willing to pay... I'm fine with that.



But our top 6 still sucks.

problem is by the time they can replenish the top 6 through the draft they'll suck at D and goalie so at some point he has to bust a move.

I disagree. he landed arguably the top ufa on the market in petry. there was nothing else that was worth spending top dollar on including patrick sharp.
