lol...I think we'll be ok. With the amount of space Benning will be clearing squeezing Sutter in will not be a problem. - LordHumungous
I would honestly say you're better off walking away from Sutter. Try to trade him later this year
He really isn't much of a player. Soft, doesn't check, hit or make himself noticed. Walk away from all pieces would be my advice. I think you'll get dissapointed with Sutter quickly. |

So Kesler, Forsling/Clendening, and a BIEKSA for McCann, Sbisa, Sutter, and a 3rd - Nucker101

Is it?
If you wanted Markstrom to be the guy, then why not let him battle Lack for the starting job? He'll learn more that way than watching Ryan Miller not give a poop for 60 games this year.
I mean, if you want to get younger, get younger. Don't half-ass it. - BINGO!
Trust me, some of us have posted this exact thing many times but some people here still believe in JimBo and LensCrafters no matter what. |

Bonino had 10 pts less in VAN than in ANA with way more TOI in Van...we ain't gonna miss his inconsistency and poor skating... - LordHumungous
Players tend to get more points with better teams. |

Another troll, Sutter is amazing! He is a CLEAR upgrade on Bonino and a much better value at his cap hit and future cap hit |

No you don't, because Lack is not a bonifide NHL starter, Miller is. They obviously believe in Markstrom. Having a veteran like Miller mentor Markstrom is the way to go IMO.
Getting younger for the sake of getting younger is stupid, get younger with players that are actually good. This simple use of math to get younger is idiotic. |

I do know I didn't like Bonino as a second line centre. |

Assuming that 1st got McCann or a similar prospect I actually prefer that deal now
And Gillis would have been ripped here if he did it, yet some people will defend this. |

That 3 Rd round pick was originally the Canucks which means they can offer sheet a player |

Bonino was horrible. Soft as hell and horrible in the faceoff cirlce and sooooo slow! Only thing i liked about him was his shot.
Sutter is seen as the inferior offensive player, but he scored 6 more goals than Bonino while being stuck behind Crosby and Malkin.
I like the deal for the nucks. |

No...
Kesler and a 3rd for Sutter, McCann, Sbisa & Dorsett
Forsling for Clendening
Bieksa for a 2nd
So:
Kesler, 3rd, 2nd, Bieksa & Forsling for Sutter, McCann, Sbisa, Dorsett & 3rd |

Still looks pretty bad. Just break down piece by piece. |

Last season:
Eddie Lack
41 Games Played. 2.45 GAA, .921 Save Percentage
Ryan Miller
45 Games Played. 2.53 GAA, .911 Save Percentage
hmmmm...
So you're logic is that it's better to keep the expensive old guy who put up worse numbers last season because he's better? |
