He's a decent 3rd line producer. Not great defensively but whatever.

Sutter, on the other hand, can only skate in straight lines and is next to useless with the puck unless he's shooting it off the rush.
He's a winger that's been forced into a center role, which he sucks at.

1.8 million for 40 points is crazy generous and we just did Pittsburgh a HUGE favor.

Taking salary cap off their hands, and Clenndenning is on a 2 way deal.

We're going to miss Bonino's offence. He was miscast as a second line centre, but he provided solid depth scoring on a very cap friendly contract. Sutter better hit everything in site and win every faceoff he takes.

Maybe JB thinks Sutter is an upgrade at 2lc? not sure why the draft picks either.

Some might say Sutter is the best player in the deal, so Vancouver won the trade.

It seems like a lateral move when you look at our 4th line centre situation and the Pens turning around and signing Fehr.
