The problem with the "all-cheap" team is that once they play together for a year or 2 and come up for new contracts, they're not going to be cheap anymore.

Wow, when you look at Roman Josi's HERO chart, it's no doubt he should be a top-pairing player. I mean, how many other players can handle 205 minutes/game?

Other than Hedman, that's a wicked and cheap defense. Very interested to see the offense side of this.

Furthermore, Josi and Carlson both had 55 points to McDonagh's 33, and 15 and 12 goals to McDonagh's 8.

McDonagh played an average of 23:07, which is less than Josi (26:28) and only a hair more than Carlson (23:04).

McDonagh also held a 48.7 CF% at evens, while Josi and Carlson held a 50.3 and 51.3 respectively.

Ryan is a fine player on a good contract, but dollar for dollar Josi and Carlson were the better value players last season in the role of top 2.

Keith, Seabrook, Van Riemsdyk, Daley, Rundblad and Hjalmarsson for defenders. Also Darling and Crawford hits were included.
