Anyone expecting Lucic to only get 5 years or less than 6 million will be disappointed IMO. He'll get 6x6 at least, maybe even a bit more than 6M per. - Nucker101

I can't see him taking less than what he is currently making and if Benning is the one signing him you know that his salary automatically goes up 20%
Some nasty grit or at least irritation on every line for sure. Seabrook would be a great addition to mentor a young d core, but even for poops and giggles, it ain't happening. I have a bad feeling though that JB is going to overpay for Lucic next year.

Likely a full NTC/NMC as well. - Nucker101
i don't mind handing out NTC/NMC's for long term deals ONLY if they are given out for the first couple/three years. The last half of any deal should not have them.
a player still gets some security of where he plays while giving the team longer term flexibility.
if a team wants to trade the player in the first year or two, i have little sympathy for them b/c it usually means that the gm made a mistake (and should have to live with it).

Bonamassa is so good. I think he was considered a prodigy and was playing SRV note for note between 5 and 7 years old or something like that. His Live In Vienna Blu Ray is tops of the tops...

Yeah when it comes to the blues there is no one better. My buddy caught his sunglasses at the Orpheum back in Apr. 2013.
This is in response to Kaptaan's comments in the last thread, about Kopitar and Toews.
Toews is THE quintessential leader - both on and off the ice. Not only that, but he is Mr Clutch - you need a goal you look to Toews to generate the chances to get one. You need defense, you put out Toews in the last minute or when facing the other team's top line.
I would put Toews in the top ten players ANY day of the week. The guy does it all and he is what defines a winner. Kane may get the accolades but there are no Stanley Cups without Toews.
Kopitar is a great player - he definitely leads more by example and is not a traditional leader. But that said, I'd take Toews in a heartbeat over him.

The big question that can't be answered, until Kane is moved, is can Toews win cups without Kane?
We had Messier, and he didn't get us a cup by himself....
a simple misunderstanding... I heard they were supposed to go for drinks after but Moore didn't show... - hillbillydeluxe
Yeah, just like Hitler, he was supposed to have lunch with the President of Poland but when he didn't show up Hitler invaded the country looking for him, big misunderstanding.

Gretzky said he thinks the three best players in the world are Toews, Crosby and Kopitar. I would put Toews ahead of Kopitar, but not by much.

I thought my post was offside.
