I honestly don't think Lundqvist is as amazing as he's hyped up to be. Don't get me wrong I think he's an outstanding goalie but if you watch him, he lets up a TON of scrappy rebounds that his defense is able to clean up. He doesn't snag the puck as well as other goalies and if he didn't have such a solid defense I don't think his track record would be as good as it is.

Dont need an elite goalie to win in this league. Plus Halak was awesome for us in the playoffs.

I was wondering how the oilers fans cheered for their goalies in recent years.... do they have extra pair of underwear giveaways sometimes for the inevitable shart?

its scary how good the metro is in goalies... i was shocked to see the league leader in shutouts tied for 5th (I still would have him over mason) but cant argue with those above him. scary good division.

I'd still take MAF over bob and holtby though. bob would fit the pens scheme well... he is injured every season. holtby hasnt done it for long enough yet.

I wouldn't, Mason has only had one good year at above a .920 save percentage, last year. On all other years as a starter, he averaged about a .908 overall.

I think it was a bit kind to give him the tie, I would have had him 6th.

Hes had an utter embarrassment of a series with the Blue Jackets, and a pretty damn good one with the Flyers.

goalies are the only position that seem to age well.... he is coming off an awesome season , 10 shutouts, with the new goalie coach. He is in for a test with the young d this year and I expect he will ace it.
