I will say this with no mal intent. When you have a top 6 pairing with the likes of Weber Sbisa and COrrado , the fan base gets excited at any sign that we may eventually get an NHL caliber DMan

I've been very disappointed with Corrado. Seems like he may have just taken his spot for granted this year.

I am sort of glad, because I never had high expectations for him. He never did anything really well . This way Canucks will be forced to look at other options

Internal competition is good for the organization.

The blue jays make the playoffs and they act like a bunch of tools. Champagne and Cigars? They haven't won a dam thing yet.

I like 3 on 3 better than the shootout.

No question. Shootout isn't exciting at all

Frsisen should be a winger.

Would moving him to wing hurt his feelings?

Sedins are great people and are great players, but vancouver needs a new look and new mentality towards the game.

I love what Burrows and Hamhuis have given Vancouver but I hope this is their last yer here.

I don't like Higgins or Edler

Only if he's short.

I called it right away when I saw that pairing listed(Edler-Biega). You know what they say about broken clocks, blind squirrels, etc. I got lucky with that call.

Good read on Hutton:

Glad that Hamhuis and Tanev are teaching him a thing or two. Probably the two guys I'd want the young Canuck dmen to learn from.

Stop trying to critique the veterans during the pre-season...they're not in mid season form and won't be until at least mid November.

Edler is still a good defenseman, probably our best! His offensive game didn't develop like I'd have hoped but he still logs a ton of minutes against the other teams best players and did really well last year. Lead the team in minutes per game.

Should we only praise player then during the pre-season? Edler isn't Luongo, if all the vets wait until November to get into form that shows the rookies they should do the same. Bad habits aren't good anytime.

WD said that Hutton is forcing them to take a good hard look at him. TL and JB went to WD and said this kid could be top 4
- VANTEL

I still thinkg Hutton should go AHL so he can play top pairing minutes next year.
Trades I hope to see this year are:

Higgins(at any point in season and would hope 3rd rnd, but most likely 4th)
Burrows - 2nd or 3rd+prospect
Hammer - 1st/2nd or 1st/3rd+prospect
Vrbata - 1st
Sbisa but nobody will take that contract.

Not my style with the Sedins and Edler.

Hamhuis and Burrows are getting old , nothing more

He's a lot better than our fans give him credit for. The problem is everyone expects him to be something he's not and focus on him because we've got nothing else as good as him.

Because most other teams have a true #1 or #2 isn't his fault. He a very good top four guys who eats up a lot of minutes...as I said. With a true top pairing his minutes would come down along with his fatigue and his mistakes would probably reduce as a result.
