I don't think one pre-season game with the Canucks would be the team that pushed its young guys too hard. - bazz
Perhaps not. But the management presumably has a solid idea of who can and will make the team. No? Isn't it better to get looks at players who you believe to be battling it out for the last couple spots |

Here is where my disappointment lays.... I would have liked to see him play a game for my own curiosity. Purely self serving.... just like everyone else... except they don't recognize it a that. They express themselves as it being a loss to the player and team. - boonerbuck

People really have no idea. Lefty and I have been praising McCann for a long time. I have no problem saying I believe he's the canucks best prospect. Many on here jump all over it like he clearly isn't. Even though they've never watched him. Then he plays great in one pre season game and half of them say yeah he is good.
We can all read. Don't give me a scouting report on why a gut is good. Tell me what you've noticed makes him good. It's starting to look like oiler fans in here ffs |

It's crazy that people are upset over a pre season start. That isnt a difference maker... it's purely for our curiosity and entertainment... we were ripped off. I want my money back.

I agree with you and Bieksa above. Subban will not make the team better this year and management has a good idea who they want. I guess I want to see a guy who could excite at some point down the line before I have to settle into 82 games of Sbisa, Weber. I am patient and ready to wait, but September should be the month to dream. |

What I saw was Subban looking just as good as Ben Hutton in the rookie tournament. |

(frank) it, I'll stop questioning this management team. |

Don't worry you'll find many more things to complain about with this team, then one day you'll be old enough to realize that complaining gets you no where. |

You have a point. There are players in the line up who wont make the team... but they seem to be looking at the 7/8 D position being possibly filled by bigger stronger players than short O specialists. They would rather not stall Subban's development by having him sit as a 7 or 8 waiting for injury. I don't think anyone is serious about Fedun getting a top 6 position like they one day hope Subban will do.
You are brilliant with crunching numbers and stats on here. You put dedicated work into it. It baffles me how little you can rationalize when your head isnt buried in the stat sites though.

100% even? Seems unlikely.
Maybe he is better. Maybe Wilkie and Benning are part of the KKK. |

..and they will be developing together on the Comets.
oh, wait,,, Subban didnt get a fair shot in the pre season.... he may as well quit and give it to Hutton.
I think because of Hutton's size and only being his first camp... he gets a better look right now.
I know that wrinkles your ultra sensitivity and you are over flowing with sympathy for all the unfairness happening in training camp.... so many little children's dreams being stepped on by big mean adults. |

Hutton being 2 yrs older probably has something to do with it as well. |

... and that too.
I am surprised how nucker cant come up with a single explanation to these tragic situations he keeps presenting us... what happened to him?
How long before nucker cant push these irrational ideas on Subban no longer and he just plays the race card....

But what about Subbans feelings? It must be hard knowing the Linden and Benning hate you |

He is as touchy feely as Bloated mosquito .... should give up hockey and post on HB where he gets the emotional support he needs to cope with all the unfairness of professional hockey.
