I think Gaunce is trying to get that 3rd line LW spot Higgins was slated for.

So we all know what kind of trades we want to see this year and players we want to see play. Here is what I would like to see at or before TDL.

Vrabata 1st or Conditional 2nd/3rd(2nd turns into first if team makes ECF or WCF)
Hamhuis 1st and conditional 2nd, condition is SCF(or ECF/WCF i'm not picky here)
Weber conditional 3rd, turns into 2nd if effective PP qb during playoffs(if you can make something like that a conditon)
Higgins 3rd
Burrows 2nd or 3rd/4th
Hansen 3rd
Sbisa for a 7th(being realistic)

Prince George has a reputation for being a rough town and it is but it has all the amenities of a big city with a small town attitude.

Fishing/Hunting 15 miniutes north south east west of town.
Skiing/snowboarding, bike trails, snowmobile/dirt biking.
Junior hockey, good youth sports programs, one of the best gymnastics programs/schools.

If you're into private school for your kids its actually affordable and public schools are good too.

Great university but the college could use some more programs.

There are good neighbour hoods and bad but housing is affordable and not right out to lunch like in the city.

Summers are great. If you like winter its great. I hate winter not the outdoor activities because i do quite a few but the winters are long.

I grew up in PG left a few times and came back. I may leave again but its a pretty good place to raise a family.

Yeah, probably. My sense from talking to people here is that they almost always go with the safe pick, ie a recommendation then with the most highly qualified person. When you get outside of Victoria though, employers can't be quite as choosy. Parksville is really nice, as is Qualicum Beach, both are a short drive from Nanaimo where more employment opportunities may exist. I also have friends in Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, great place to raise a family.

However it ends up playing out it's going to be an interesting few months. Thanks for all the input.

Buzz from Utica is Jensen, Cassels, Cannata assigned to Comets. Jensen vowed to show grit in his game, didn't happen. #Canucks

- hillbillydeluxe

The problem Jensen is he doesn't know yet what he is supposed to be yet. It has been his MO. How many different versions of Jensen have we seen?

What I'd like to see;

Dany Hank Burrows
Baertschi Horvat Vrbata
Gaunce Sutter Hansen
Prust McCann Dorsett

What we'll probably see;

Dany Hank Burrows
Baertschi Sutter Vrbata
Higgins Horvat Hansen
Prust Vey Dorsett

There's that poop 2nd line again.

I think he knows but hasn't embraced that role. I think JB or someone spoke to him at the end of last season, he isn't going to be top 6 scoring winger, so now has to reinvent himself- was thinking he was supposed to become a more 2 way player with more physicality than he has shown so far.

We will be lucky to trade him for a late round pick or project. I thought he looked okay during his call up under Torts, but stalled after that.

I was listening to JB on 1040 from Friday, and he liked that 2nd line. Baertschi and Vrbata playing off each other and Sutter doing his thing. I didn't think they did anything in their game together.

I'm sorry but Prince George is a poop hole with Canada's second worse crime rate. You cant even get change for a 50 at night in that town because they wont keep more than $20 in the til... kid you not... places telling me they been robbed twice a week and cant keep money in the til...driving around trying to break a $50 to pay for $20 gas... never in my life have I seen this(in canada) outside of East Hastings in the late hours...

Let me try

How the canucks play this season will determine how high they finish

- Bieksa#3

Me next! me me

The player who gets the most points this season will determine who are highest point producer will be.

Or

If Guance makes the team it will be because he outplayed some of the other kids to make the team.

I think his spot is cemented with Horvat, considering how well they played together last season. I think it has been pretty clear Benning is sticking to his guns with the Sutter Vrbata pair.

That means Virtanen, Gaunce, Kenins and Baertschi are auditioning of the 2 LW spots.

I still think Sutter's game is best suited to play with Prust and Dorsett if most agree that Vey needs a bit more time before giving up on him.
I would like to see Vey given some offensively skilled line-mates and Sutter asked to centre the abrasive/shutdown/pest line.

This is what I would like to see.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Baertschi/Gaunce Horvat Vrbata
Prust Sutter Dorsett
Gaunce/Baertschi Vey Hansen

Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Weber
Hutton Bartkowski

PP1 Sedin Sedin Vrbata
Edler Weber

PP2 Baertschi Horvat Burrows
Hutton Tanev

I had a thought earlier and wanted to hear some of your input.

This will be a make or break year for Benning. At the TDL if he decides to keep Hammer/Vrbata due to being a bubble team and wants them so we can try for the playoffs and we miss, they both walk for nothing. Do you guys think he would be fired for missing playoffs and having nothing to show for not getting anything for them and also missing playoffs being the result of this?

It sounds like John Madden is becoming a hockey color analyst with these comments.

Where in PG are you getting gas where they don't have change for a 50
