I had a thought earlier and wanted to hear some of your input.
This will be a make or break year for Benning. At the TDL if he decides to keep Hammer/Vrbata due to being a bubble team and wants them so we can try for the playoffs and we miss, they both walk for nothing. Do you guys think he would be fired for missing playoffs and having nothing to show for not getting anything for them and also missing playoffs being the result of this?

The biggest challenge for this management group is to follow whatever plan they are following and not be swayed by what media and fans may want them to do and not listen to the opinions of those who think they won or lost trades based on different goals, projections or plans
I am not happy with some of the moves, I think the biggest blemish is the Sbisa contract, but thank god it isn't a long contract.
What is different this year from last is the depth on the farm with Cassels, Grenier, Biega being more of a known factor. Hutton pushing for a spot. Subban.
They don't want to miss the playoffs, but if it is entertaining hockey, it will be forgiven. Maybe after next season JB will be more on the hot seat. We have heard goals and expectations, nobody expects this team to push for the cup.
If the club is on the bubble at tdl, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't unload vets. I guess it would also depend on the health of the club too, if JB thought they were playing well and could make a push.
I don't think it is a make or break year. but, we'll see.
