Hes been really solid at camp, one of the best depth forwards at camp. He should make the team, would be a real shocker if he doesnt get a contract

Last night he at times he was the best forward on the ice for both teams according to some guys covering the game.

Hes been really solid, one Avs beat writer said he looks like a mix of ROR and Landeskog with his Hockey IQ and physical nature

Can't find any recent news concerning Bigras and I'm surprised he haven't played yet. Is is he still with the team or back to the AHL?

Bigras is still on the team, he played the pre-season against the Flames with Stuart as his partner. Played ok, but not great. That whole game was a stinker.

I assume he will be playing the next pre-season game against the Flames.

Doubtful he makes the team with how well Gormley & Zadorov are looking. Based on that and the larger contracts signed for next year. The only real battle is b/w Redmond and Guenin who gets to be 8th Dman. Im hoping for Redmond

Grabbed Bigras in a last round keeper league thinking he had better chances than Gormley, I guess I was wrong. I'm in re-building mode so not a biggie. Gormley is on our waivers though, maybe I should git him a try.

Gormley was a real surprise with how well he has meshed with Barrie right out of the gate. Not sure if he stays with him long term but he is a welcome addition to the 4-6 spot on the team.

Bigras will be up on the team shortly, Roy was pretty admitted about his D prospects getting around 100 AHL games experience. So Bigras probably will be logging some meaningful minutes wtih the Rampage, but I wouldnt be shocked to see him called up if some injuries happen during the season. And once he is called up, with how good he has looked, it would be tough for him to be sent back down

My guess is that Gormley starts out as the 7th defenseman with Stuart and Holden starting ahead of him. As soon as an injury hits he should be the next one playing and will probably keep the spot when the team is completely healthy again unless he struggles.

Holden has been god awful, Guenin has been playing better than him. Gormley has been the 3rd of 4th dman consistently at camp and pre-season. No way he is sitting in the press box.

Roy even said in his presser that the younger guys are working hard to push the vets out of the line up. Plus with the way he has openly praised gormley throughout camp and pre-season. I would be stunned if he isnt at least 3rd pairing

But this team and management has stunned me before

Good to see Glencross get another chance. I think he got lost in the mix of so many players at leafs camp. He does need to step it up, hasn't done much this preseason.

Jesse Winchester is dead weight at this point.

thats pretty cold hearted of you. The guy is battling concussions, I hope he beats them and can at least have a normal life. Calling him dead weight is kind of a dink thing to say

whats up big poppa. yeah I don't think he would have to do much to look better than the Cliche, McLeod, Bordy lines...I think hes being brought in to fill out the roster to give extended look at some guys while they can place those guys into the minors (probably not mcleod but I can dream)

McLeod is just useless. Hes a fringe nhler, not Roys favorite toy to put on the power play or extra attacker for his "net presence" can't stand the guy anymore.

Hunwick is fine as a 6th dman. Lots of speed, but nothing great about him but nothing that terrible either. Just sort of blah for a guy with that decent of skating ability.

yeah Iggy will be getting major PP time still. Still one of our only Top 9 Right Hand shot forwards besides MacKinnon and Comeau. Rantanen as well if he makes the team.

Cant see Comeau taking that role, so he will be still being loaded up at the right side bc of his shot
