I think Horvat/Gaunce/Burrows are the only on the 3 that are actually capable of that.
- Nucker101

We were watching the best plays of the playoffs compilation before the last game and my wife noticed that like 2/3 of the goals were off rebounds. The Canucks never seem to be in position to bury them and it drives me crazy.

Vey should be waived, even Cracknell looks better than him. McCann, Gaunce..I don't think there's a guy who can play center that's left on the roster who isn't a better option.

Biega is flying out there..why the hell didn't Benning just have him as his "Sbisa'? A physical guy who can skate but isn't a true shutdown dman or a puck mover. He's gonna have some bad games just like Sbisa, but is so much cheaper and probably better at clearing the front of the net.

Hutton the best dman so far tonight? Anyone disagree?

Maybe his partner Biega.

True, that's pretty valuable during double/triple OT playoff games. As long as Luongo isn't the goalie.

I'm not going to rip Benning for trading for him, I get what he was trying to do, but I might rip him if he holds onto him at the expense of a waiver exempt player that's just flat out better at hockey.

I've always said, I'd love to have 3 speedy lines behind them. Would give the team two very different looks and different ways to score.

Both Nonis and Gillis did the same thing when they were GM's... listen to who the coach (AV) thought would be a good fit from minor league experience.

For me, Gaunce made the team earlier in the preseason when he scored that goal driving the net. We see so little of it.

Sad but true.

With Sven, Vey becomes a little redundant, and that's coming from someone who genuinely has high hopes for the kid.

Had no hopes for Vey, but I'm a bit dissapointed in Sven. Throught he was better last year

WD has to be the person pushing to move on from Vey. If he would rather have players like gaunce and mccann... JB's job is much easier if WD is content...

I'm guessing JB and WD talked about it at the end of last year and agreed that this camp would be make or break for him, and that he had to actually earn his spot this year.

It's a couple preseason games lol

Let's give Vey 15 games before we waive him for nothing.

I don't see Vey as an effective center at all. He's like a Mason Raymond lite, but not nearly as good defensively.
