Corrado was arguably the best D for the Comets in the playoffs. He had a short summer so did others. He probably never even touched the ice all summer. I tend to give them some leeway this early on and expect the McCann's and Huttons to push.

I agree that he deserves a chance. Asset management. A poor 1st week of training camp is disappointing, but nothing to consider dropping him over.

Plenty of scrub forwards got tryouts to. Corrado has nothing to like about him except his jr play and age. He's shown no upside over the past 1-2 years.

Even if he gets claimed, it's not much of a loss. Pedan/Fedun/Biega aren't much of a downgrade as call ups which sucks to say because Corrado looked so promising during his first pro stint.

Hutton deserves it.

Watch who other teams waive once cut downs to 23 are done. Guarantee you that they'll be a couple of comparable dmen. We overvalue our not-so-good prospects and depth players.

Sbisa blows. Anyone who fails to see it should start watching another sport. The eye test and the stats back it up. No GM is touching that contract.

Lots of bad contracts get traded. Sbisa is only 25. He is 6'2 (not huge, but not tiny). His contract is only $3.6M. While it may be too much for what he has provided to date it is far from an anchor and it only runs for 3 years. At some point during the season he will be tradeable if he is not now.

Why must our fan base rush prospects??? Why can't we let him dominate the AHL first??? Are we worried he's going to get to the AHL and just be average?
