I agree but they are not Vets. Vey's rookie season was last year and Corrado has only played 28 games.
- boonerbuck

They got outplayed and lost their jobs to other young guys. I'm totally on board with Corrado being waived. Hopefully he clears.

Jason Brough @JasonPHT .
If the Canucks lose Corrado, that's a big mistake by management. Why not wait for an injury to bring up Hutton?

I am not sure if it is a big mistake, but it certainly is a gamble.

No matter what management does, it is wrong in someones eyes. It looks like the management group said they would make room for prospects who earn spots. They did.

I hope the org doesn't lose Corrado or Vey but if they do, it really goes to show that spots are up for grabs and if prospects earn a spot outright, they will stay with the club.

Just wondering who will be in the press box on any given night?

In terms of asset management, I agree it would suck to lose both. On the other hand, I kinda like the idea that without Vey or Corrado there would be a drop off in play for replacement players so you might as well keep these young guys through thick and thin this year

I am wondering who gets the call up if both JV and McCann go back to jr?

Who will be shining in Utica? If Cracknell stays up, there are 4 centre's so maybe Gaunce or Grenier could see a look before Vey is recalled.

I guess the same would go for Corrado, why not have it that prospects on 2 way contracts that don't have to clear waivers are rotated back and forth as opportunities are earned? But I guess if Vey or Corrado earn the opportunity, they should get another chance.

Corrado will be picked up.

The guy is 22

I'd rather Sbisa was put on Waivers, now that guy sucks.

How does this affect Corrado's Olympic bid?

I think if they both clear, they will be considered for call ups but likely not the first. With having to clear waivers again I think the team will want to be 100% certain they can stay up for the rest of the year (unless they get a Markstrom situation like last season).

Now if both are claimed and they want to send F's back to Jr, Gaunce, Grenier and Jensen are the only names I can think of that would be able to replace them. From what I saw only Gaunce could be equal in effectiveness

The media drives the feast or famine angle of every story.

Listening to Team1040, the Lions won their game on Saturday but really ended up losing because the roof wasn't open and many fans were disappointed with this.

The scandal in every story. and Buono doesn't return for deposit any of his recyclables.

Must be great to be a MLB player. You sit/stand around more than half the time and if you're good, you make millions.

I read somewhere there is a clause in his contract that gets him a full suite to himself on every roadtrip, plus a few other extras on top of the cash...

Again, as opposed to JV, McCann, Hutton who had none, they are. Like I said, no excuse to be outplayed when you've got the edge in experience and have a spot in the lineup pencilled in. Fringe NHLers/Career AHLers at best and even if not, not on our team.

It is a dilemma, but really, the reason Corrado and Vey were demoted is because they really weren't being that effective or effective enough.

I think Gaunce will be a full time NHLer. Just so focused and committed.

Grenier just might need a little time with the Canucks to find his role.

Maybe another forward will do enough to earn a chance?

I like Biega as a call up too as much as Corrado.
