I really don't understand his penchant for changing that often, especially when you see a combo that seems like it might work. I can see maybe swapping a couple guys in the top six but he's constantly moving guys up and down the chart.

Btw, am I first?

Damnit, just missed

I think it is a matter of finding who works well with the "pairs" that Bylsma is working with.

Kane/Eichel and O'Reilly/Ennis seem to be inseparable. I would like to see some consistency, but it has been tough to figure out who is best suited to play with each of them.

well, the kane/Eichel/Girgensons line kicked ass to the point where they almost pulled the game out...

dumping Girgensons so that a player like reinhart, who's nothing more than a powerplay specialist to this point, just doesn't make sense to me

I think you nailed down what we were all thinking for a while, Michael.

There's a lot of pairs on this team, Eichel/Kane, ROR/Ennis, Deslauriers/Legwand.. but there's a lot more players in flux than constants. And I know the preseason is determining who plays where the best, but this juggling needs to end sooner rather than later.

Girgensons is (bare with me) like Benn.. this teams best utility player. Can play on the 1st or fourth. of course he's not as offensively gifted.. but he should really find a home quick while the team is healthy. When an injury arrives, he's great at moving around. But with a full lineup, I hope Disco can just stick him in one spot for at least a few games.

Is Reinhart ever going to be Reinhart and not some (frank)ing skunk.

The kid needs to physically develop still. He doesn't stink. And I really don't get why people think he does.

Girgens is a player that can run the 3rd line and still get 19 minutes a game after special team time on the ice

IMO that is the best way to use him, while figuring out what to do with the big stink

Does anyone really think he's bad? Or is it more concern that he might just never be more than pretty good? I have full confidence he will be pretty good. I just have concern he will never be your typical 2nd overall pick good

I'm not gonna go through this whole list, but what exactly has Reinhart done to show he's anything like John Tavares who someone previously compared him to?

Could make a case for a few others on here as well. Could change over time but right now he's just not tough enough to make up for the foot speed out there.

Considering Landeskog had a 52 point season at 19, I'd say he's an example as well

I still think there's a decent ceiling for him but it's clear that the scouting reports on his readiness were way off. I think Physically he's got a ways to go but once he gets there he'll be an invaluable player in the top 6.

He's without a doubt going to be a good, smart player. But people acting like he should be handed a top line spot (especially with the decent amount of talent here now) are getting ahead of themselves

When you only score two goals in the first two games the coach is going to start juggling lines. Bylsma is expected to win some games and wants to keep his job safe. What is he supposed to do? Wait for them to score twenty goals in the first twenty games until he makes some line changes?
it had better stop soon? We are only four games in, and not likely when we average a measly 2 goals a game.

The problem is he juggled lines since the opener. His job is no where in jeopardy. The issue most have is he doesn't give himself enough time to judge how a line is going. If they have a bad shift or two he makes changes mid-game. He needs to give it some time not a few shifts. The season is 4 games in, if it was game 30 then I can see it, not game 1.
