my sentiments exactly, striper...I like McDavid and I like him in the league...he's also easy to root for because he's in the western conference

this injury is awful. I bet he comes back in a couple months and still manages to win calder with most points.

First up, I think the Avs have a legit player in Grigorenko. I am always pleasantly surprised by how solid his defensive game is.

As he gets more ice time with more skilled players, we could really see something with Grigorenko. I think he's a 30 point guy this year.

That's always been his issue, he shows it for a game or two then ends up doing something stupid or lazy and ends up back on the 4th line. I do like the kid and hope he turns into a quality NHLer for you guys, but it's only one game I would hold off on anointing him ready just yet.

It hasnt been one game, its been multiple games, almost ever game that he has drawn into the line up. hes coming along slowly, I fully expect him to have issues here and there, but they are bringing him along, every game he is getting a little more ice time and a little more responsibility. Hes earning it

Hes fine, raw but talented.
Gormley coming into the mix and being as good as hes been as really complicated that Top 4 situation. I believe they want to know what they ahve with Gormley right now since hes older and an RFA next year, vs Zads who they know what they have and have more years of RFA control left with him.

I wouldnt be shocked to see Zads being sent down to the AHL so they can develop him properly if they feel Gormley is capable of big minutes

IMO Zemgus has the most to gain from Disco Dans systems. Playing with Nolan I ASSUME that most off his career he was told to play as hard as you can.

This could be a reason for the early struggles was adjusting to a style of game he has never been asked to play. I love the effort but giving that effort a direction could show us a Gus we've never seen before

Interesting. I had hope for him but saw few glimmers of it here. He was also very young and frequently jerked around. I think his time in the AHL likely helped him the most.

Zads will hit his stride around 22-24, hes a kid in a mans body.
Not worried at all about him. Ive been a Grigo fan since day one, the talent's there but i think the hockey IQ isnt. Playing with better players can help balance that.
JT is the is the piece that will judge the winner in the long run. Imo he could be a Derek Stephan type which would be perfect for the avs
