I don't think the 3 days off will slow down the Sabres. Mike Weber might hurt the team a bit. I think the Sabres will be ready for the Lightning and come out with a 4-2 victory.
Michael, what do you think of Ek's Fowler to Buffalo rumor? I'd say it has a 0-5% chance of coming to fruition. But if there was a deal made who from Buffalo would go to the Ducks? |

If EK rumored it . consider it a unicorn spotting. |

imo, who wouldn't want fowler?...but I wouldn't give up too much...an ennis for fowler swap straight-up would be as far as I'd go...and I like ennis a lot |

I think he also mentioned the ducks wanting a defenseman in return, which to me, doesn't make a lot of sense...

Going to post about it again (new thread and all), but anyone who might have gotten or is interested in the NHL simulator game I play, 2015/16 rosters are out to download. PM me if you want the link or have any questions.
Also, to keep it to posting about it only once here, I figured I'd blog about my playthrough again. If you want to follow along, here's a link (here on Hockeybuzz):

If anyone else plays it or other similar games and writes/blogs about it, let me know, I'd be interested in following along! |

As long as they didn't forget how they have been playing , we win this game. - cabin
Struggling or not Tampa is a tough test. Ullmark will need to be sharp |

I have a feeling tonight's game will remind us that our defense is lacking. They have held up OK so far but this team is still missing two top 4 defensemen |

one thing I like about the forwards that murray has put together, as well as the style Bylsma coaches, they're always on the back-check and are defensively aware...I can't remember more than one time where there was a tire-fire in the buffalo zone leading to a goal...
although it's not the solution, it sure helps |

Definitely helps when you get good two-way play out of your forwards. O'Reilly stands out the most in that category. Plus Risto is looking good and Bogo will be a huge addition when he comes back so I am remaining optimistic. |

Ducks asked about Ennis again, like they did a couple years ago and Darcy said no. |

I was told he would rather move Larsson then Ennis or Moulson, but he's in no hurry. Bob Murray has had an interest in Ennis for a couple years now. |

Problem there is im guessing Larsson hasn't generated as much interest |

Vatanen and Lindholm need to be resigned so if they move Fowler I doubt a big contract goes back, 5 mil for Moulson and 4.6 for Ennis. I would think both Ducks D men will get at least 4-5 mill a year each. |

Guessing the ducks have a similar problem The internal budget will force them to do something if not during the year then probably at the draft. I have reservations about fowlers defensive game but we really do need a lefty who can put up some points. |

5 mil and 4.6 seem like pretty reasonable cap hits by today's standards. If Ennis is who they are after I would ask for a prospect like Kerdiles coming back |
