I wouldn't hate the idea of Eichel with O'Reilly and Ennis. With O'Reilly on the wing and taking strong side faceoffs.

I've thought about it myself; the problem is that O'Reilly is money on face-offs, and Jack has a ways to go. And you can't waste Jack on the wing, so unless you have ROR taking all the draws and then switching positions every time I don't see it working. I get that when guys get tossed they switch after the face-off, but that's only a couple times a game.

I'm with you on this one. Usually I'm good with letting guys learn in Rochester, but I feel the same way about Ullmark at this point as I do Reinhart. A big part of them adjusting overall is adjusting to the speed of the game, and that's not something they're going to learn in Rochester since the AHL game isn't anywhere near as fast as the NHL game.

I think it's good he's getting his time in, but you also don't want to overload a young player either and erode his confidence. I think he's still battling a little too much and has to let the game come to him. Part of that is he probably has to learn to play again after the surgeries. Even if they go perfectly you're never 100% the way you were, and he's only what like 6 or 7 months out?

That kid has a hell of a powerful wrist/forearm. Everything he does seems to whip off the stick blade in such a quick motion that you don't really even see.

Obviously we see his goals doing that, but I watched a pass last night with such speed whip across ice to a d-man from him and it looked like no movement from him.

I haven't seen a release like that since Miro. Say what you will about the guy, but he had one hell of a release and buried 95% of his chances.
