I was at the game against columbas and that 3-0 score vastly over shadows the actual playing of that game, it was beyond poor of Ottawa and even worse for columbas. If that was another team another night we would have easily gave at least 5 if not more goals. Sadly the best thing that happened to the sens was weirocioch getting injured, he was playing God awful the entire first period though same could be said for ek. And methot just turn over machines. I hope the coach made them realize that even though it was a win it was not even an OK game at best. Nice to see lazar skating with Neil though that line really gave us the energy and the win they started the aggressive for check and momentum was carried from that to get the rest of the team going. Easily the best defence men of the night was borocop though ek got all the credit for point boro stoked 3 goals him self. I'm hoping Ottawa really addresses there clear need of a real defence man and a top 6 forward, because players like prince puemple really need more ahl time to early yet to feed them to the big guys, and as it stands cowen is the closest thing to a bust there is sadly while wideman has been showing he deserves to stay up he plays a well rounded game and does a lot of little things so well

Would like to see Prince back in the lineup - makes
Me think they are showing Puempel for a trade. I think Primce is better covering the ice and keeping plays alive, Puempel better in close and hunger in the blue paint.

Puemple is playing because the coach likes him. Serioulsy you would believe they play people they don't want to show case them for a trade. unreal the way some of you think in here. Cameron has a job he wants to keep and future reputation for employment elsewhere need be.

Both Puemple and Prince are interchangeable. None will boost the team significantly if one or the other is in the roster. I like Puemple over Price personally. Has a bit more of an offensive flare. We have several players like Prince on the roster now in Lazar, Pag, Smith, etc.

Neither are going to be a focal point to a significant trade, but maybe a supporting piece. I do hope Murray is lining something up though. A defensman and/or top 6 forward are needed.

I think it will take a while before Prince or Puemple are real impact players. They are both still pretty young and getting a feel for the NHL game.

Despite my concerns about the play and mental state of Cowen these days, I'm not sure swapping in Cowen for Wiercioch is going to be that much of a big hit. Wiercioch is not exactly playing his best hockey right now. That being said I like the upside of Wiercioch more in the long run. If he could bulk up a bit and control his giveaways in his own end, he'd be a quality top 4 guy. He showed signs of it last year. This year I can barely see that. I hope he can turn it around.

I'd post more but spelling and grammar found in the ravings of roadzy almost gave me an aneurysm.

not saying that's what's happening here, but teams do that all the time. if you want to move a player, you have to play him. kind of hard to trade a player who's in the press box

I guess you've never heard of Brooks Laich. and if you are talking about future employment and reputation, coaches have to bend to what organzatikns want long term and play young players the GM wants to see for whatever reasons - keep their value up, pressure from agents, ego - and coaches do that because they want to keep their jobs and understand that organizations have long term plans as well as a win today attitude.

Watch 24/7 and how Byslma and the Pitt GM interact - Bylsma is sent AHL players he has to play because that's what the GM wants.

Anyways, still like prince.

Looks like JG is missing Condra, they had great chemistry and that line looks much slower without Condras speed their. That line is missing that magic they had last year when game to game they were almost our best line

That was an awesome game to watch. Anderson looked solid in nets again tonight. Good to see the lines starting to click finally. Should get MacArthur back soon which will make for some good competition. Now if only they could find a T4 D man.

I like Puemple ,s more robust style of game ,than Prince,s outside speed game.He just fits into the lineup far better ATM

Just wondering what MrClean, CharlieBox and ClarksonDavid have to say today. All they did last week was complain that the Sens and the Altantic Division suck. Bunch of plugs

Great game overall. The passion seems to be back that was apparent in the late season run last year. A few loose ends here and there, but overall we are playing our best hockey of the year so far.

Only downside I'd point out is Cowen. Certainly didn't prove the naysayers wrong. He needs to just focus on using his size and being physical. Don't even worry about playing the puck because he can't.

unfortunalty we need him and we need Patty. The cost of good D men does not come cheap at all !

Atlantic still doesn't stack up compared to the other divisions. Nothing has changed. Never said the Sens suck, they have won 10 games and lost 10. Tho, 10-5-5 sounds better.

I live to be proven wrong. I liked what I saw tonight, but I'm not sure why peoples' opinions on the Senators or the Atlantic division would have changed dramatically just because the Sens and a couple other teams have won their past couple games.

We have beaten the teams we are supposed to beat this year, by and large. Which is nice. But, until we start beating good teams with any regularity, all that qualifies them for is middling.
