They did trade Hamhuis's negotiating rights and didn't push hard to resign him because they had Weber and Suter. Their problem is keeping their dmen happy there, Suter, Hamhuis and even Weber all signed else where. Was it Trotz that made them want out? - A_SteamingLombardi
I wonder what Seth Jones will do?
Weber, Josi, Ellis and Ekholm all signed to 2019 and beyond...
oooh. New rumor brewing. |

Jones/Wilson for the Sedins.
Big deal or no deal
TB blew it takin Drouin over Jones - Nighthawk
Haha nice. I think Nashville has more sense than this, honestly we'd be lucky to get either of those players and a pick for the Sedins. I love the twins, but the yare in the twilight and Jones/Wilson hitting their prime. I like the dream though. Sedins for Jones straight up I would be happy with. maybe even retaining salary.

Nashville's not trading Jones, they'd trade Weber before Jones because Jones will be hitting his prime as Weber starts to decline ala Chara. You can already see that Weber isn't quite as good as he used to be now. Forsberg is about the only real offensive talent they have there along with Aberg and Wilson. That's not saying much, Nashville needs a high draft pick in the worst way to draft a superstar center because once Ribero and Fisher retire... you think this year is bad for offense for them so far? Wait until next year. |

Canucks have 9 PP goals in the last 6 games and 7 PP goals in the 16 games before that. The PK gave up 3 goals in the first 12 games and has given up 11 goals in the last 10 games |

If he is third line centre and they continue losing he will go. |

Maybe. I see Hopkins as a more workable player for a McClellan type coach where Hall if he stays healthy could provide a very big asset for EDM. |

He makes 6 mil . Unless your JB you don't keep a third line centre workable player
I do like JB |

A trade the magnitude of Tanev for Hamonic , or that type , is welcome at anytime. Higgens for Eller on lower valued players I don't see happening because we already have enough third line centres. Trading Vrbata or Hamhuis I hope will be happening at TDL only . I hope and I hope it is for draft picks only. It would be nice to have cap space to go shopping , instead of plugs coming back like Tinordi or that type of player.
JB seems to be doing a stealth tank, going unnoticed by the fan base. Sending out a guy with three goals to take the penalty shot brilliant.
Stay the course this year. Things will be better next year. |

I'd be interested in JB's opinion on Sean Day. The guy's stock has fallen, but I wonder if its because of his capabilities are lacking or over exposure has more people picking him apart. |
