it wasn't a hard shot by any means. no bias at all. if you think it was a difficult shot than that's your opinion. mine is it wasn't by any means. - rinaldo
It was a very good shot. For one, it was put into a good spot, with the situation, to create a rebound. Secondly, it almost beat the goalie cleanly. He just got a piece of it.

I suppose I could have been clear and said Colin McDonald, but where's the fun in that. - Feanor
Not sure if I ever told this story. 25 years ago give or take a year. ricci, berube, and I cant remember who else are at the bent elbow on the boulevard for happy hour. Ricci was 18 or 19 at the time. Some people were giving him poop for it. berube come to his aid and pretty much shut them up. funny as hell. They were both funny to hang with. - rinaldo

Not really. You wanna make fun of Ray Charles for being blind next? Maybe we can make fun of some retarded people too. Because that's funny. - jmatchett383
I dunno... let's say he was in the AMac bandwagon at the time of the trade... what explains the complete lack of hesitation to bench, demote and bury the guy after he took over? I'm not sure it jives. - Tomahawk
You are right it doesn't all add up. It isnt a black and white situation. I do think AMac being demoted was a roster move to maneuver around the cap, but it does say something that he isnt up here now that there is space. Could be a number of things though...maybe they just prefer a right handed shot? No clue
You could trade him for a shorter-term bad contract (like Umberger) and then 50%/BO that one asap instead. For example, Beauchemin for AMac, then try to peddle Beauchemin to some team at 50% or ride his shorter deal out instead. Hell, bury him too if you want and net $500k worth of savings immediately over AMac.
Would love that, but Beauchemin is actually good and not on a bad contract. I think a more realistic bad contract would be someone like Scuderi. I would trade him for Scuderi.
Can you think of any examples where a guy gets buried and then effectively resurrects his trade value? Huet, Souray, Redden, Finger, Richards, Avery, Kotalik... it's a real kiss of death.
I dont feel like thinking, but I did say he has to come back and prove he belongs...none of these guys did. Most teams have the cap space and to send young guys down instead of giant contracts. I think he would be a great 4th defenseman for the Las Vegas [hockey team]
