I think so, he's a good role player and pretty versatile. Shouldn't be too expensive to re-sign, even if he does pick up the pace.

Ek will say they've made him a massive offer anyway so I'd be more worried about Homer's mental well being.

Anyway, I enjoyed the game. Not so much the letup in the 3rd period but the combination of Couts, Giroux and Ghost all chipping in on the win was very satisfying.

I hope Gagner is ok and comes back soon with little ill effects.

raffle is not a guy you need to build around or include in your rebuilding plan. get guys on 1 year deals until your ready; hence vets who are always available.

as for continuity well raffle has been here what his 3rd year now? no playoffs in 2 of those years. he wont be missed.

just because they haven't made the playoffs, doesn't mean certain players wouldn't be missed. you have to identify the ones that will help moving forward vs those that won't

When building a team, you want a collection of players who can grow together, and create chemistry together. You don't do that by getting players on 1 year deals. You use players like that to fill a hole temporarily, while developing your team . Raffl is definitely a player that fills a need on a team. Not saying it's not possible that he will be traded, but he's a player that can be part of the core moving forward.
