Tinordi has not done anything to date as far as the Habs fans are concerned. why would we want tinordi if he's not living up to potential?

It would not cost Montreal a lot. They have given up pretty much on Tinordi. They know what Burrows is like and what her could do. Some team would pick him up for sure. Maybe even Chicago
- VANTEL

I hear you, and i think Burrows still has something left in the tank.
He is signed for 4.5 M this year and next though, which might give a GM second thoughts, given how he has slowed down a tad.
He seems to have even lost that patented forehand-backhand deke move that was money in the past.

Burrows is a solid guy with heart. Lots of teams know he amps it up in big games.

In any case we could trade him to Mtl for the playoff drive and get back some defense prospects with a conditional pick that gets higher the farther the Habs go in the SCF

Don't forget gallagher is out for several months needing surgery on his hand. I'm guessing they want Vrabata to replace him and could look at add Burrows if we are looking to make a multi player deal.

If we keep him fine. I am being greedy and want his cap space along with others to buy a top DMan D first line forward this off season

everyone wants trades here.... so lets look at another idea.

personally, I dont see a 5'8 Dman working in the NHL. We need help on D now.
I'd say montreal would give up a ton for J Subban for obvious reasons. He wouldnt be here anyways for some time and honestly the Depth chart has him way way back. Since I cannot see someone his size working anyways why not trade him for a decent established Dman that would help us now. Who is up for discussion, but I just dont see Subban here and habs would be the best trade partner given what theyd part with for a 2nd subban brother and have every reason to do this.

Dragon , I could easily see Subban being traded to the Habs in a package deal.

If we still had Bonino we'd be in the basement with the Oil and believe me...no one likes an oily fkn basement...

- LordHumungous

a lot of what ifs, or could of's. agree for sure we miss Sutter.

in the basement with the oil, doesn't sound like a bad draft position.

we over paid a little for Sutter, cdn$ and stagnant cap doesn't help. but as long as he contributes and we win, I'm okay with it all.

Ya I like him. His value here is more than he's given credit for here. Sure he may be a bit slower but there's intangibles he has that have no limit to their value. Clutch guys like him are gold.

4.3 is not a lot to pay for a top 6 guy who plays all spots in the roster

Sami Vitanen 5'10"
Tyson Barrie 5'10"

Jordan Subban is 5'9". As you can see players do not need to be over 6'0" on defense to be useful. Subban could be an effective defender, he is also extremely strong with a solid core.

I think JB is going to pick the 6'6 Russian over the 5'8 Black guy

I'm okay with his play, and the notion he might be overpaid. The way I look at it, he is a solid 3rd line centre that can play a top 6 role (didn't mind him with the Sedins). Sounds like a good team mate, might want more offense out of him but he is still a good role model for the kids coming up. Not the most physical, but still gets his hits and don't see him shying away from too much contact. Gets around the ice well.

I see him as top 6 so I am quite ok with him. We are a better team when he is playing. Mark my words , he will get the Canucks first Cup winning goal in a few years
