Just got off the phone with David Poile. He wouldn't tell me if he was going to make a big trade. Not very cooperative at all.

To be fair, if we still had Bonino and he was injured, he'd be missed a little too...
Sutter's absence has hurt the pk and has forced Bo into playing more minutes. Hard to shelter both McCann and Horvat with Sutter out. |

I agree he has definitely been missed, but he is still overpaid, not physical and doesn't create scoring chances, which is what the debate was about over him this summer, not whether he would be missed if he was injured.
That said his PK, and FO and defensive contributions are definitely things that this team has failed to replace. |

Thanks for the Blog Carol.
It sucks that the kids are struggling with increased workloads, but it's "part of the process"....
Horvat took some huge leaps last year, specifically in his offensive game but he wasn't a great possession player then either, I think it will come around. His FO % has regressed but might have more to do with playing against better C's as well. I don't think we have anything to worry about either Bo or McCann. Bo has looked like one of the best Canucks regardless of his counting stats the last couple of games.

I just read that Luongo is about to pass Hall on the all time win list.
He has a legit chance of being a 3rd if he can get 83 more wins.
and could be top 2 in games played 149 short right now.
could be top 3 in shut outs, 14 short right now.
Anyone think he hits those stats ?
I was pretty surprised to see how well he matched up against some of the modern greats.

I hope he hits those stats on the last game of the last year of his contract. |

83? Does FLA have five more years to spare with Lou as the starter? Or should I say Seattle...

If we still had Bonino we'd be in the basement with the Oil and believe me...no one likes an oily fkn basement...

He's entering bieksa territory.
A good solider that has spent his entire career here, given plenty, been rewarded handsomely and is now on the downside of his career.
He has clearly lost a step and i think would be a harder sell for another team to pick up. |

It would not cost Montreal a lot. They have given up pretty much on Tinordi. They know what Burrows is like and what her could do. Some team would pick him up for sure. Maybe even Chicago |
