Blown ass coverage... Dupuis got walked around why is he out there on 3v3. He has no skills or hands ugh - nh4442
Dupuis has to go, he's killing that line. Johnston is blind and stupid and f'ing stubborn as the most stubborn thing in the history of the world. |

Duper is one hell of a human being but he barely belongs out there 5 on 5. His career gas tank is pretty much on E now.

Duper needed to come off of that line for a couple of weeks. What can you say. Sid with a crap turnover too. |

So MJ starts Kunitz with Crosby and then Dupuis. |

Our players wouldn't have been able to stand around and watch him do that Ice Capades routine if he were in a hospital bed right now, where he belongs.

Just frustrated right now and they better be too. The Flu Jackets goal DID NOT count, what a joke that was and Dubinsky should have been tossed from the game on a blatant attempt to injure. You don't crosscheck someone in the back of the neck by accident. Scuderi needs to be waived tomorrow and Lovejoy needs to be the 7th guy until a new home can be found for him, he's terrible. |

Let's not forget about following up the cross check to the neck with a second one to the back where he breaks his stick. |

What type of hockey player, let alone human being, sees someone injured and decides "I'm going to break my stick over his back now" |

A Blue Jacket of course. Crosby should call out the NHL after this game and say "hey you guys have pimped me and my image out for over a decade now and you allow this sh!t to keep happening to me?!?! A mm one way or the other and I could be a paraplegic but they only give Dubinsky 2 mins?!? That is a slap in my face." |

Like I said the Canadians are desperate for a RW right now. Do you think they would take Scuderi or Lovejoy if we traded them Beau Bennet for Tinordi and Zach Kassian? Instant toughness and no drop off in talent if Sprong replaces Beau on that line. Id rather Kunitz on the Sid line at this point. Dupuis is useless unless he does something by accident like Crosby's first goal against the Blues. |

I can understand cross checking him in the neck and just walking away. It's possible he meant to get him in the back and it slid up. But the fact he looked down, saw him injured and in pain and decided to break his stick across his back is just ridiculous. I hope a Pittsburgh reporter is able to question Dubinsky and say "so why was it necessary to cross check Crosby while he was in pain on the ice" |

We were badly out shot in regulation and in OT, 6-1. I have been sying bigger teams give us trouble. Yet little changes. |

So did they decide to burn a year of Sprong's ELC and put him in the press box. |

id rather roll with maatta and wait until he hopefully regains his form. i KNOW scuderi is what he is, and it wont work with letang. cole is a decent player, but i KNOW he wont work with letang in that role. maatta may take a while, or may never regain that rookie form, but at least the possibility is there. same with clen - stayinthefnnet
Did you notice how Letang refuses to pass to Scuderi unless he absolutely has to. I wouldn't pass to him either but it is effecting everyone on the ice, can't see how the coaching staff doesn't pick up on that.
Right now the best pairings in my opinion would be Dumoulin with Letang, Clendenning with Cole, and Lovejoy with Warsofski (or anyone not named Scuderi). When Scott Hartnell walks around you, you are done.
As frustrating as this loss is we still managed three points against St. Louis and Columbus, both teams are playing well and both play a physical game that give us fits. I wouldn't expect the league to even look at the Dubinsky cross check, if I remember correctly this isn't even worthy of a penalty in the playoffs. |

Here's my problem with this game, aside from the obvious (crosby hit, goal interferance)
The refs are reffing based on the teams that are playing. When we play CBJ you know its going to be a game filled with alot of questionable stuff and even more after the whistle garbage. The refs let it go both ways, but the fact that they do that is giving CBJ an advantage because they are built to play dirty.
The Pens who are obvisously not built for this type of game are not given the opportunity to play thier style. The Pens can try to stay away from all of it, but after so many instances nto getting called there is no reason for them not to throw a few of their own cheap shots, then the refs feel justified in all the crap that they let go.
Id just like to see something resembling consistancy in the reffing. If its going to be let everything go, fine as long as thats how its called across the board, every game. But this calling the game based on the teams playing is nonsense. |

So far that is exactly what has happened. MJ the donkey and his stubborn ways killing the team slowly. Give me a Tinordi/ Clendening third pairing any day. With a Letang/ Dumoulin first and a Cole and Pouliot second. No way it could be worse. |

Ole Beau was benched the second half of the game. With Bennett and Kunitz with Bonino I am saying that is the fourth line and Cullen, Fehr and Plotnikov is the third line. |

I'm tired of the refs thinking THEY are the superstars. They should get no discretion what-so-ever, if something is a penalty in the rule book then it will be called or they will lose their job. I'm tired of the refs letting whatever team they want to win get away with murder. I'm tired of them taking forever to drop the puck on faceoffs as well, drop the puck and lets go, quit f'ing around. The Yakupov thing last night is another example, what the hell is the linesman grabbing a player to break his fall? If I'm running the Oilers I am calling for that guys head. they let the Flyers get away with what they did to McDavid and then the linesman is taking out their other player?? |

I don't think dupuis is working on the 1st. I'd like to see:
Kunitz-Sid-horn
Perron-malkin-kessel
Dupuis-bonino-bennett
Sprong-Cullen-fehr
The team has an abundance of right wingers, so start getting sprong used to the left. |

Bonino has been fine but he's drowning out there. Sprong needs to be in the games, Sundquist needs to be in the games. I still love the idea of bringing up Simon to play on the Crosby line, at least try it for a game or 2, what could it hurt? |

I'm still not seeing enough from Cullen to keep him a regular, yeah hes great inthe faceoffs but thats about it. Allow me to step out of the box here and suggest:
Simon Crosby Hornquist
Perron Malkin Kessel
Sprong Bonino Bennet
Plotnikov Fehr Kunitz
Maybe the Canadians would take one of Kunitz or Dupuis for Tinordi? |

The Pens had a reputation for being notoriously chippy the past couple of years...especially when the game wasn't going their way. Discipline was a big issue. |
