Hank should have went for a concussion test for a vicious hit to the head like that.....but he didn't need to because he obviously sold it!! Refs still should have made him do a concussion test for trying to embarrass them!! That would make him think twice the next time !

As someone who hates the Rangers, I have to say not only was the hit on Stepan a bit late but it was obvious he wasn't in a position to protect himself. Legal or not, suspension worthy or not it was kind of a douche play. Nobody should defend these unnecessary dangerous plays in hockey.

I wouldn't even go as far as saying he got "beat up" … Not a drop of blood and I doubt Beleskey was even bruised … McIlrath looks to be about as tough as a girl scout.

What made it even sweeter was that we scored on the insuing power play

*Admires pass
*Gets hammered into boards admiring said pass and breaks ribs
*A failed "beating" (although kudos for stepping up and trying at least)
*A Bruins goal on the insuing power play
*Bruins win game

Refs didn't call a penalty cuz it was a legal hit.
League reviewed the hit, said it was in legal time frame.
Wasn't hit to head, no elbow, not a blindside, no stick work, distance from boards was acceptable.
Besides it being your teams player what argument / proof do you have of it being illegal?

Goalies and players alike my team included who make it look like they were badly hurt by a shot to the head as Hank did, should be sent to the quiet room. That will stop that poop from happening.
