That I will agree with, but you have to admit, he brought the lions share of it on himself with his antics in the early part of his career. There were plenty of veteran players that warned him about that.

It's almost as if the players don't really care about these one or two games suspensions the league hands out. The Department of Player Safety is completely failing at their one intended reason for existence.

Give and you shall receive. I don't see JT and Stammer as such polarizing players. But they don't play nearly as much of an edgy/chippy type of game as Crosby.

After watching that youtube vid and then watching Dubi's check on Crosby it seems laughably ridiculous that a Pens blogger would be calling it an assault and asking for a 20 game suspension.

Add to that the Pens fans calling Hank a diver and you just have the worst recipe of hypocrisy imaginable.

I don't even think he gets that much more abuse or harassment than any other NHL superstar. I think you can break down the tape of any elite goal scorer and see them take abuse like that in front of the net. What else is the opposition supposed to do...let the guy stand there untouched?

The difference between a guy like Getzlaf, Perry, Ovechkin, and Malkin vs. Crosby is that the first 4 guys I listed are big enough and have the balls to make it known that if you hit them, they will hit you back twice as hard. So people don't really (frank) with them anymore.

But seriously, I have zero sympathy for Crosby. The guy is the most talented and skilled NHL player of an entire generation and insanely rich. Every single hockey fan would trade places to be him despite all the "harassment" he gets. Boo (frank)ing hoo.
