Have to give credit where it is due. Rob Scuderi, yes that one, was a 79.5% possession player last night which led the team. Scuderi's presence neuters the Penguins offense when attacking due to his limited puck skills and skating, but if he is going to play it might as well be in the offensive zone around 80% of the time. Beats the alternative

That Malkin goal made me nut

I remember the years before Malkin was drafted, they were calling him the best player in the world not in the NHL. Nice to see still carrying that mantle in the NHL - all the from a Devils guy. If only he learned how to body check with that body...

1. Malkins spinning back hand was beyond dirty. Just pure skill.
2. So players now just aim for throats and necks instead of pushing players backs and chests..... Just so careless

The whole sequence of that Malkin's goal was a thing of beauty. Easily one of his greatest goals ever and arguably the top one.

Man that Oduya crosscheck was nasty. I wonder if that is "overly violent" or "forceful" enough for Burke to dish out a huge 2 game suspension. Tried to take Parise's head off with that second one. I'm all for big hits and playing tough, but this is getting ridiculous with the cheap shots.

All in all it was a good game to watch. I just wish my team would put as good an effort against the poopty teams like Carolina as they do against the marginal teams like Jersey and Pittsburgh. Now watch them get skunked by the (frank)ing Leafs

I think you seem to forget that this is Ryan's MO when he gets called out for only caring about certain things when it happens to Penguins players. There was another incident last season where he got called out on this exact same poop and the very next blog wrote about the same incident but happening to another team...and everyone called him out that the only reason he wrote that 2nd blog is to cover his ass after being called out

I read alot of teams blogs and belive me I read whining from all blogs. though you know that we here in pitts blogs are extremly critical against our own team.
but only we are allowed to be negative towards the team
