The guy gets a lot of poop but he has that Isles team playing pretty damn well. Not just now, but last season too and during the lockout year they overachieved a lot under him.

I won't lie, there are some decisions he makes that completely leave me scratching my head. But at the end of the day, the Islanders are a damn good hockey team and those players are 100% bought in and are willing to go to war for the guy.

I'll gladly eat crow, I had him pegged a flop 2 years ago. Upside is def there, that knee injury really wrecked him for a couple years but he's got the goods.

Isles have their issues this season. They are taking advantage of the shootout this season as of late.

All in all they are a good team but they leave a bit to be desired. Their blueline is average at best.
