A couple a seasons ago there was a JPEG floating around of 5 Oilers clustered in the corner boards and one Canuck alone in front of the net with an arrow saying: this guy scored. The Canucks are starting to remind me of that.

I'm not ready to compare WD to Eakins because I don't think Benning has come any where close to providing him the depth and talent to be competitive, but I'm getting there...

Send McCann to world juniors. Call up Friesen. I've heard from players on the team that the kid is the real deal.

How can Benning give him the proper players when he had so many NTCs . You seen how it was like pulling teeth moving plugs like. Bieksa Garrison Lack.

He should have traded Vrbata Hamhuis last year and Higgins should have went on waivers. This team is old old old. It needs to be gutted and sold to the glue factory.

The thing is, they're not old, they just have a few older players. If they got rid of Burrows, Higgins & Hamhuis they'd be in the bottom third of the league. Currently they're in the middle of the pack.

If you see below, the difference between the top and bottom is less than 2.5 years apart.

IMO we need to stop blaming the coach. AV had problems at the end , Torts and now WD. Some of these players are the blame

The thing is, they're not old, they just have a few older players. If they got rid of Burrows, Higgins & Hamhuis they'd be in the bottom third of the league. Currently they're in the middle of the pack.

They need younger , bigger faster and a different style

Sorry, I'm not of that opinion, I've played before, not NHL obviously but I see a team that's not in sync. It starts with coaching, they look disinterested or lost at times.
