IMO we need to stop blaming the coach. AV had problems at the end , Torts and now WD. Some of these players are the blame - VANTEL
and that right there guys is exactly why you absolutely NEED some older players around.... to settle these bratty, spolied rotten little poops with attitudes, barely removed from mommy and daddy then handed wayyyy too much $ for their own good.
To show them how to be a professional athlete. To tell these princesses to shut their holes and play the game they are paid to play. |

Sorry, I'm not of that opinion, I've played before, not NHL obviously but I see a team that's not in sinc. It starts with coaching, they look disinterested or lost at times. - LeftCoaster
I've said that same thing several times. Why cant people see this? Lefty is right here. Looking lost on the ice blame goes right on the coach. Its why Ive said since last year Lidster has to go.
These players are playing the same system AV installed in the team. No coach has come in yet and changed that. and thats exactly what needs to happen. AVs system sucked and had terrible dysfunction. We are seeing the same errors as almost 10 years ago. Same crap.
That right there is why we need carlyle to come here and show these guys how to play D. And put in a system where there is less dump in hockey but carrying it straight over the line dead center straight to net fast offense. |

You aren't going to change that until the Sedins leave, that's the way they play the game and it flows from them. No coach is going to be able to change that until you have a new first line that can be the focus of the team and that's not going to happen for 3-4 years if at all.
I don't blame the coaching (well, at least, not in the sense that they are the main problem) I blame Aquilini. It's his insistence that the team be competitive and play an entertaining style of hockey when clearly the team lacks the talent beyond the Sedins to do so. He's the one that gives Linden the marching orders, who relays them to Benning who went out and tried to get a coaching staff that could coach that way and give them a team that could do so.
The fact is, if Aquilini had any balls, he'd put up with empty buildings and let the Canucks play the kind of hockey New Jersey and Minny do. Stand up 4 guys at the blue line, send only one man in to forecheck and get your goals on the transition. Chip and chase hockey, it's boring, ugly and it gives pundits ulcers but it WORKS! I like the Carlyle idea, the Torts experiment failed because he didn't really want to coach, just get the paycheque. Get a Hitchcock or Sutter in that wants to coach and while the building might be empty for 3-4 years while we restock the cupboards and then that's when you have a team that can win you a Cup. |

so we see eye to eye that carlyle is a good choice.
sedins style is not fixed....we saw that when they were in worlds and olympics and they played a different system then very well. We have simply picked poopty coaches for too long.
But regardless on that, the D is a trainwreck and that has been awful under lidster.....get rid of him |

I don't see how it is coaching when we have gone through 3 different ones since 2012. We have won 3 playoff games. You have a bunch of soft players. |

Coaches think Weber is an NHL dman and put him on PK. How is it NOT their fault? |

Try out Pedan? I would say Pedan is a better option at this time. We don't have anyone that is tossing bodies away from the front of the net. Weber doesn't do anything offensively or defensively, i would rather a Pylon than him. |

Pedan on the PP? He hasn't even cracked a NHL roster yet

Fantasy pool moves that should apply to Canucks
Miller to Buffalo for Robin Lehner . We keep 1 mil in salary. Let him finish where he started. Savings 3.5 mil.
Higgins on waivers : See if there is any team dumb enough to take this plugs salary off our books. If not we save 900 K on his cap for being sent down and his replacement Grenier costs 863 K . Its the same cap hit.
Burrows and Vrbata to MTL. They won bring back a lot and Mtl doesn't have the space so we will need to eat salary . Kassian clearing waivers today will free up 1.75 and Eller would be 3.5 Include Fucale to the trade seeing Habs are set at GT for years. Dalton Thrower would be nice but now I am being greedy. Retain whatever salary for this year is needed to make it happen . |

Following loss in Minny, the #Canucks take to the ice without Henrik Sedin. Kenins/Pedan rotate in today #TSN1040 |

Dan Murphy - For those wanting a pound of flesh, only 3 #canucks were supposed to skate this morning, but the whole crew (minus 33) hit the ice at 9:15. |

They need a coaching change after they change the players. No new coach will have success with this motley crew. |

They're just not very good, bottom line. Getting rid of a few older guys will allow for some younger guys to get a chance, which I want, but it won't make them any better this year...or at least marginally. |

No I agree. There is no excuse that Higgins Vrbata and Burrows are on this roster while Grenier And Gaunce are ready. That frees up 10 mil to go shopping in the summer. We won't win with the kids in the line up but we are 4 points out of 29 th spot and they have 3 games in hand. We can't sink much further.
For those calling for a coaching change look how good the Leafs are doing with one of the best coaches in the league. Second last. We have gone through 3 coaches , same result. Time to look at the players. |

You are right about this year's draft. After Mathews it drops off quick. Good players but not like two years ago. Same as last year after the second pick.
Good players not great. |

The write up sounds like a nighthawk post.
"Maybe you want take the smart mini segway everywhere in sometimes, but the scooter is a litter heavy when take with hands. so there is a special bag to help you take the scooter easily to somewhere. the bad is available with 6.5 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch scooters." - CubanBuffet
Got to love when a Chinese manufacturer uses google translate on their website. Very professional indeed.
