They are the laughing stock of the league and it's not by a small margin or undeserved. The media there is an ongoing joke.

But they make more money than Walter White while having less morals.

Agreed.

But we need short term bodies to cover Mac and Virt. Kassian could fit the mold --- it may ne the only place in all of the NHL where he could be needed.

Had an interesting debate the other day, so see if anyone finds it the same:
If you had first pick in the 2012 draft now, who would you take?
edit: my answer is Morgan Rielly. Let the hate begin

- neem55

For Vancouver?
I take Dumba, Forsberg before Reily if we get the benefit of hindsight.

Even crazier
Canada: Elliot Friedman suggests Vancouver may be interested in trading Ben Hutton and Jake Virtanen for Tyson Barrie.

One thing Benning has to look at this year is why do only two people score on this team year after year.

Yes Vrbata scored 31 last year but he had most of them early in his stay here.

Is it the type of player , our system our coaching? This has been going on since 2011

Lindholm has been hands down the best player.

I said at the draft if take Galchyeck 1st

Still would

Maatta has been very good

Forsberg is probably the expert answer as he really fell the day of the draft

But tons of d mwn

Murrey
Lindholm
Reilly
Trouba
Ceci
McCabe

BTW wasn't Duclair taken in 2012?

I think we had the #1 offense in 2011

I feel like our PP is very very predictable, especially how we set up and get zone entry.
Once the Sedins get the puck cycling down low it's a thing of beauty and very creative (as we all know), but getting set up seems to take so long.
I feel that this comes down to missing a real PMD and PP QB.
If Van had a Letang, Doughty, Karlson, Subban, etc. I think we'd see our scoring improve substantially.

I don't like how our guys play an outside game. Not many willing to pay the price and go to the net , and yes our play selection is predictable

Ya Galchenyuk is the other guy that has as much long-term upside as Reilly IMO

I was listening to Ian McIntyre today saying Kesler hated Boudreaux and playing to get him fired.

I thought. Boy I am glad we got rid of that useless POS

True that.

I figure between Markstrom and Demko we are set in goal for awhile (hopefully).

Now all that remains is to completely rebuild the defense, draft and develop some 1st line talent and we are set for another attempt.
