I too, have been disappointed by Cassels.

Labaye is an interesting prospect for me. He's got nhl 4th line center written all over him.
Jensen imo has kinda taken benning Hansen comparable and ran with it. I'll taken Hansen with better hands
Is it fair to call Subban a Ryan Ellis type player?

I can't say, i very little experience watching Ellis play.

That said, i view Subban's potential as very closely aligned to that of Tyson Barrie.

Barrie: 5'10", 190. 3rd rounder. Final OHL season, 58 points on a good WHL team.

Subban: 5'9", 180. 4th rounder. Final OHL season, 52 on a garbage OHL team.

Though Barrie made the NHL right away for 10 games, he was returned to the AHL and put up similar numbers as to what Subban is currently demonstrating.

In fact, in Barrie's first pro AHL season, he had 5 goals and 32 points in 49 games.
Subban already has 5 goals and and 14 points in his first 23 pro games.

Two, undersized guys with great skating and offensive instincts yet prone to defensive lapses.

If Subban ends up anything like Barrie, I'd be ecstatic.

Yep, apparently he doesn't operate to well under pressure as well, which for a 20 year old in his first pro-campaign ain't that bad.

A tsunami would need to be pretty damn big to hit Victoria/Vancouver. More about the whole of Vancouver Island ending up closer to Hawaii then the mainland of BC

Reese is 31/2, so to say she was pumped about Santa would be an understatement. Pretty awesome how excited they get
Huck is 6 months old, so he knew about as much about what was going on as Willie Desjardins does while coaching

cheers, this was great stuff. I may have bad talked picking Boesner, but that's only because I wanted to see them D up last draft. The kid is looking good, an assist so far today. Canada, like the Canucks, just looks like a mediocre team compared to the others this year. I'm curious why people think we need wingers, Seems we have Gaunce, Shink, Boesner, Grenier, Fox in the tube while SFA on D. Brisboise sounds like a long term project, same with Subban. While I am all for that, I don't see Subban as a top 4 , no idea about Brisboise. I don't see any of the young guys othere than Hutton playing that position...
