That wrestling match where they held each other's sleeves so no one could get hurt? I guess you could call that a fight....Prust Atleast is noticeable, Higgins? Burrows? They provide nothing to this team anymore. If you won't trade / waive them then Atleast sit em in the press box until they show they want to contribute - Bullfrog77
Calm down Vantel, they arn't going to waive burrows and are most likely not going to waive Higgins.
Bur did come to hanks defence, not the biggest guy but he does try.
Why do you want this team to play better(with better players) will that not just screw up you tank nation?
If we lose and get a high pick I'm ok with that.
If we intentionally lose a la buffalo Toronto or edmonton, I'm not ok with that.

I'd rather see Pedan in the line up the any of the other 3. Biega plays hard but offers no upside. He's at best a depth defender. While Pedan is a solid skater who can be extremely intimidating. Give his reach he has potnial to be a solid 2nd tier shutdown guy - Bieksa#3
I really like his game. Id be tempted to put him down in Utica just to give him 25 minutes a night. But for me he easily makes the team next year. He is something this team has been missing for a long time. Like you said if he reaches his potential he could be an adam mquaid type. |

I don't think this team needs to tank, just as they don't need to concern themselves with the post season. By the time they discover their identity (if they ever do), we will have been passed by the other bottom feeders.

I think I just expected him to come an dominate a bit more ...he hasn't been bad really ...just not what I was hoping for ...maybe a bit of puck luck could change things too |

When a GM sits back and does absolutely nothing as his team loses and falls in the standings better be tanking. Otherwise you have an idiot GM |

He'll be a good one. Expecting an 18 year old to be an effective power forward at the NHL level at such a young age is ridiculous. I suspect we won't see what kind of player Virtanen will be until he hits his early-mid 20's |

Hank must be hurt, he had more sloppy passes than I've ever seen him make in a season long series of games... As a Kings fan I've always hated the Sedins but still respected the magic they work with the puck, especially between the two of them, but this is all you need to know about him and today's NHL - " - Stu17[regarding the ref telling him it was a clean hit] The only mistake I made was not staying down longer. That's on me." H Sedin, taken from the LA Times. sad.
He was being sarcastic, criticizing the league without directly criticizing the league. |

Ya I expected him to use his speed and to hit way more. Seems almost lost at times but I think the same hasnt been bad but average doesnt cut it for a 19 year old. |

Guess I should have clarified ...just at the world juniors so far
Can't really be too upset with his NHL play I agree |

This is a bunch of BS! Biega's upside is he's better at moving the puck to the forwards than most of our other dmen not named Tanev or Edler. His transition game is good and his giveaways are minimal. |

For years and years Chicago and LA have gone out to injure the twins. They no there is no pushback from the rest of the team . Nolan , Brown , and now McNabb have all targeted Hanks head. Bolland and Keith go after Daniels head. Canucks the spend a good chunk of the game trying to retaliate the guy that hit them and lose focus on the game. This has been part of Sutters strategy as well as Coach Q.
Sometimes you have to go over the line. Maybe it is time to send these two teams a very clear message , you go after our star players we go after yours. I am sure Sutter would think twice if Kopitar had to miss a stretch of games because of a well placed knee on knee. Kane could be out weeks with a Charlie horse.
They are targeting the two star players of the Canucks by going after their heads. Canucks have been always a big threat to both teams, so targeting our stars has been part of their strategy. |

Yup no argument here. Next time we play LA dress a bunch of goons and send them all out after doughty and kopitar. Things will change quick around the league if you do this to one team.

Higgins has huge trade value.
2 goals one assist in over 20 games kits on the second line. Guy is a stud. |

Agreed. I swear, sometimes it seems like if a player isn't 6'6" and skilled like Gretzky we aren't interested in him. Biega has come in and done more than was expected of him. What more do you want? |

Of course Toffoli looks good. I would look good with Carter or Kopitar also.
Sedins turned Carter Burrows and Hansen into the second coming of Guy Lafluer.
Vey played with Prust and Burrows last night a combined 7 goals all year |

Prust did fight Mcbain
Prust doesn't really fight - he just tries to avoid being punched in the head. |

What do you expect him to do? We have six regulars out now, Miller, Sbisa, Hamhuis, Tanev, Baertschi, Sutter, and our number one center is hurting.
Benning was handed a franchise with a shallow prospect pool and an aging team, we can't trade our picks because we're rebuilding on the fly, so again, what's the answer?
As a GM Benning just has to ride this out, short term fixes are dumb because it takes away from the future. He's not tanking he just doesn't have many options. |

Smallest player on the ice is the only player that came to Hanks rescue. Big stones , big heart. 5'10 v 6'4 .even his brother stood and watched again |

You know, sometimes teams just aren't very good from the mismanagement of previous regimes or owners, see Chicago. I hate the word or thought of losing on purpose and IMO so does Trevor Linden, there's no tanking going on in Vancouver. |

We are missing 3 out of our top 4 defenceman, or number 2 center and hank is playing through injury, any team would lose lots under those conditions, jb would have to mortgage the future to replace those players and he shouldn't.
You play to win, if you get dealt a bad hand play through it, it may get better fast or get worse.
In any case don't sell until the deadline when is a sellers market, just hold firm and see how the ball bounces.
I'm a fan of trying to win whether you lose our not, if you try to lose and cheer for losing you become what you cheer for. ...... like the Laffs or the oil. |
