I hear ya, one is 7 the other 1 1/2. Christmas was a blast this year.

I just don't miss waiting for drinks, cabs, food, etc. There are probably 364 days a year i'd rather go out.

Reese is 3 so this is the first yr she was stoked about the idea of Xmas. Letter to Santa etc. Xmas was awesome

How about then and than, seeing as we're giving English lessons; although it seems like an odd way to spend New Years Eve. And are we limited to grammar, or can we dissect literature as well? I've got a few questions regarding symbolism in "Lord of the Flies".

You've been blowing this Jordie Benn horn quite a bit for past few months.
Because i'm lazy...tell me more about him.
I don't hear much about him and wonder if his success is due to the player or the team he plays on??

- dbot

I like solid tough Dmen on the bottom pairing. Last year I was after Engelland for months. Him and Ferland last playoffs drove Canucks nuts.

The year before I was after Despres.

We need a tough bottom pairing to fight battles and do some hitting so opponents will think twice. I was also after Dillon . They are all the same cheap bottom pairing that make a difference.

That's all. No other reason .

We are heading out right now see ya tomorrow HNY

To Bieksa 3 : Stop the bullying dude , and the insults. You took another shot tonight at Iggysbff . The guy has not been on here in months. You insulted RedMile the other night asking him if he was dropped on his head? Later you asked Dragon if he was drunk . You have a habit of throwing out insults to make yourself look smart. Earlier tonight you asked if I could see the irony of me calling you out on spelling when I spelled a word wrong. The most surprising thing to me about your post was the fact that you knew how to spell irony.

Some of us are getting tired of your Bayou intellect and insults.

To Golfingsince and Reallity Checker. This is the third time we have gotten into a heated discussion. Amazingly minutes after the other one shows up in support.

I don't know and don't care if you are A) Lovers , B) an alt account , or C ) have a Bat signal so you can hold each other's hand. . This is a Hockey Buzz not a street fight or nuclear war. PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY PANTS AND FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLE

Your post about the good old days when you use to gang up together to laugh and mock Ek , yet here you are years later on his site spending hours and hours

Reality Check , does anything say I am here to prove you wrong like the name Reality Check.

Whatever your freaky relationship to each other is , Happy New Years .

Marwood: As I said yesterday , you are a top drawer person. I have too much respect for the way you are. You stick by your guns always . Like I said yesterday we sit at opposite ends , but I have total respect and think nothing wrong.Dont take my hockey comments to heart.

To Lefty and Scooby two of my favourite guys all the best. Makita Bloated ASL Cuban Hillbilly Belcher , you guys are all good friends and the best in 2016

I know I left out a lot of names mostly new guys , but you are a good crowd. Looking forward to next year.

Hockey related stuff:

HFboards:

"Fact: Tate Olson, our 7th round draft pick and 2nd last player picked in the 2015 NHL draft is only 3 points behind, Ivan Provorov whom is a 7th overall pick in 2015.

Tate Olson - 18YO, 6'2, 185lbs (210th overall)

3G, 22A +14, 48 PIM

Ivan Provorov - 18YO, 6', 200lbs (7th overall)

7G, 21A +28, 6PIM
"

"Meanwhile, with two assists tonight for Sherbrooke, fifth round pick Carl Neill moves into third place for scoring for defencemen in the Q: 33 gp, 5 goals, 29 assists. (6'3", 206 lbs, shoots right)"

For some context, Olson is putting up a PPG comparable to Morgan Rielly at the same age and better than recent 1st and 2nd rounders like Myers, Hamonic, Reinhart, Dumba, Cowen, Severson, Mueller, Pysyk at the exact same age. That's pretty impressive!

"Stats aren't everything, but they are important. A player that doesn't put up points in juniors, even as a defenseman, seldom becomes an NHL player. Most NHL players put up numbers in juniors and Olson is on the right track to develop into an NHL player"

Nice to see Benning's 7th rounder developing nicely

Canucks have some decent prospects on D. I seen the other night about Neill picking up the 2 assists in the 4-0 win for the Pheonix . I was posting his stats after each game before but have not recently , seeing he is an older player. I think it still sits well but will wait until next year to see how he makes out on the Comets. He is worth keeping an eye on though.

Brisebois also is starting to rack up the points. I obviously don't get to watch a lot of games in the QMJHL but both players seem to coming along nicely. Brisebois's numbers have picked up nicely over the last month.

This T Olson, does anybody around here watch him play? What's his overall game like? Carl N seems to be an adventure without the puck

Anybody have anything on Brisbous?

Seen something on Demko the other day. He has come back to earth a bit. 1.6 GAA and 9.45 sv pct. Was in a fare where he had 6 shutouts in 6 games

Only thing pathetic I have seen over the past 5 pages of this particular thread was the save Higgins movement.

Anyhoo Merry new year to all and I hope everyone got through safe and healthy.

Here's to a great 2016 and a top 6 pick!!
