You might be right, but a lot of teams don't have pests and dont have exp. (Florida maybe too?). I could see AV wanting Burrows, there is a lot of man-love there. - neem55

He coached him in the AHL and NHL, I think they are pretty close. |

I think Vrbata min is 2nd+3rd and Hammer min is 2x 2nd. If we eat salary (worth it imo) burrows may fetch a 3rd if lucky. |

I agree. If one coach would push for ex Canucks it might be Av |

Is there a tangible reason you don't think Weal is a good prospect? Are you just easily amused? |

I don't know about multiple picks, maybe but I think not as there hasn't been much of that in TDL deals in the past. Although I don't see Vrbata as being very good, so that might be my problem |

Nashville needs scoring Vrbata for 2nd+3rd and Hammer to Mt for 2x2nds. Burrows who knows. Rangers don't have cap unless we take a salary back. |

a. Vey never won a Calder playoff MVP
b. Weal (I'm pretty positive) did not play on a line with Toffoli/Pearson like Vey did. Apparently Weal playa like Gallager. I thought He looked pretty good against us, although it was maybe hard to notice as we were getting our A's handed to us. |

the way he has played this year, I agree. He's honestly played really well even without the twins... it's amazing what those two will do for a guys confidence. |

What we got for Bieksa and Lack were fair value. I am being realistic. Look at their age and their numbers. Vrbata was signed a FA and you think we can get two 2nds for him? Hammer is a UFA at seasons end and has 4 points in 27 games. I totally get the want for more, but I am not seeing GM's paying even close to what you are asking. |

look at Hammer's career points, notice anything? Not a guy who has even posted many points. I do agree on the overvaluing, but think Vrbata could fetch a 2nd and hammer a 3rd. Hopefully they make it happen! |

Exactly my point as well. Multiple picks for playoff help.. I really don't see that happened at all. |

Thats exactly what I said in my post Earlier. Vrbata is worth a 2nd and Hammer is worth a third. There is no way either will draw a first no matter how drunk the GM is. Hammer's value I would say slightly trumps Bieksa's at this point last year. I don't think they are players worthy of letting go for nothing, or letting go for 5th rounders, but in no way are they worth 1st round picks or multiple picks by any stretch. |

Hansen could get a first - VANTEL
If Hansen can get a first, then Vrbata can get one.
Hansen is effective, valuable and versatile but not a scorer, not a PP guy, or gamebreaker. He has an appropriate or slightly under value contract, but put him on any other team and he is a really good 3rd liner and has years of evidence to back that up. He's having a career year into his 30th birthday, I've been happy with his play, but if I'm a GM and I need to give up a 1st to help my playoff chances, I go with the guy with multiple 30 goal seasons |

Hansen is cheaper , younger, faster, more points and has a great contract. Vrbata not so much. Hansen would not be a rental. Vrbata is a rental |

This is probably true, except if that GM has been watching Canucks games and notices that he is second in powerplay goals and first in game winning goals this year for a pretty bad team. I think playing with Sedins makes anyone look pretty good though, and agree with you that he is a versatile 3rd liner. Could be a valuable part of a package though, Last year Franson/Santorelli did fetch a first. Hammer/Hansen? Hammer/Prust(god I hope this second one) |

Yes more points playing with the twins, he's very much in the King/Carter territory. I dont think either would get a first, but probably are worth pretty close on the market for different reasons. Vrbata has the history of scoring while Hansen is excellent defensively and has strong physical attributes like speed |
