Back in the day when this property was Hawthorn Mountain Vineyards they made wine from the grapes they grew. Now, it is a processing plant that pumps out one line of many. Agree with you all, the Reds I have had were Meh, the Pinot is actually thin and acidic, and the merit age blend was too herbaceous and "green". Haven't tried the Chard, but the Greurz is good, we pour it by the glass, and the late harvest is pretty good value.
