What do you guys think Gudas 's value would be? He is a cheap rental and has been playing pretty well in top 4 minutes. He is a righty. I'd think I'd rather keep him as he brings some needed toughness and a right hander, but wonder if as a trading deadline pick up he could bring a 2nd+4th round pick? Or even a late round 1st (which seems like a pipe dream).
Would you consider trading him? - Marc D
I'd keep Gudas. I don't think you can get a first for him. The value versus cost is just too good.

I probably would not. Reason being he is a cost controlled RFA. Like you mentioned he brings a lot of the things that the flyers are sorely lacking on the back end. His neutral zone play I think is important in Haks system. He is just more valuable to the flyers than I think many other teams around the league. I think a 2 year extension is appropriate at around 2.5 mil per

I'm leaning that way too. He fills a needed role on the team, even if he struggles at times. Ideally he would play less minutes but this season in his pair with Del Zotto he has been playing a lot. |

Love how a "maintenance day" turned into IR.
Well with Couturier out long term, the playoffs are now a pipe dream. Play some kids, trade some d-men for assets. And for the love of god stop playing RJ Umberger. - PLindbergh31
did you really think this would go any differently?
that's a rhetorical question. |

What kind of deal do you see Raffl and Schenn getting?
I'd like to keep both of them but I think their next contract has to be reasonable.
I think Schenn's next deal will be tough. |

it's safe to assume the exact opposite of whatever the initial report is, usually ending in death. |

I don't know what they'll get, but I would give raffl maybe a $100k raise over a couple years and that's it. He's a 25 point player that plays a good 200 ft game thats not playing special teams. Not exactly doing cartwheels over that so if he wants to get paid I'd move on
Schenn will be tricky. I think your right. A lot of people share the same sentiments that I do with him. I just wouldn't give a long term contract to the guy, and I'd play hardball come negotiation time and wouldn't blink of he wants to take it to arbitration |

I'd be willing to give Raffl a little more then that, and you bring up a good point... he should be playing on the PK!
Schenn I think you are spot on, it may end up in arbitration. |

Who reported he was getting a jaw xray? To my knowledge, it wasn't the team.
Maybe it's a muscle pull, and the player reports some soreness. Initial examinations, mri's show are inconclusive. So because the team doesn't know the extent, and a lot depends on player feedback, they label it day to day. Player undergoes treatement, and as can happen, symptoms worsen, and the player doesn't respond well to treatment, and is going to be out longer than they originally expected. Those in the medical field know how some type of injuries can progress.

Panotch is better than the team. Panotch is all knowing. God is all knowing. Panotch is thus God. |

Not realistic. Looking at something like 1.5 to 1.75M for Raffl
