You can tell that couturier, Giroux and Bellemare have a clue on the PK.

Done with VDV and white blew his load last season. Irrelevant to the teams success. Same with (frank)ing Gagner. Better than umberger but that's not saying much.

Vandevelde played a solid game tonight. Both White and Vandevelde were out on the ice for parts of a key 5 minute PP against, that the team killed. They weren't irrelevant to the success of the team tonight.

I can see the Gudas hit being a penalty, but a major may be a stretch. Normally the refs call the penalty right away, not after the team committing the penalty gets the puck and skates all the way to the other end. They missed the call, and then decided once the player was injured to call it. Gudas has to quit that nonsense.

He was simply awful. All game long. Medvedev was the rock on that pair tonight funny enough

Giroux is so lucky. 1 on 1 interview with John Boruk. Wow -- he must be star struck. Giroux that is.

Flyers win 4-1 tonight...
Habs plummet further down the standings.

Pathetic.

I was close. Who would have thought we could score a pair?

Gudas was bad tonight. Medvedev always comes back and plays well after sitting out.

As a lefty, he went back to LD away from Ghost. Could be he feels more comfortable there; could be he was paired with someone who lets him do the risky skill plays; probably both.

i didn't watch closely, but i noticed a play in the final minutes where he maneuvered out of a tough spot along the back boards and then proceeded to make an unforced terrible turnover at the line on a clearing attempt. very lucky that didn't come back to haunt them.

sounds like he had a good game otherwise.

I concur. Dirty poop all night and then they convince the refs to call a penalty on gudas and it's a 5. I'm so glad we killed that and passed those (frank)ers in the standings.

Why was it a penalty? Low hit?

Yeah I caught that. Was his singular blemish in all zones tonight. Maybe if he had more failed clears he wouldn't be scratched tbh

I hate how they called it like 19 minutes after the fact.

But I'd like to see another replay bc he may have went low at his knee.

I'd like to get a better look at it, but it looked like he clipped the guy low. Gudas makes too many risky, predatory hits. Not to mention he's taking himself out of the play there.

The confusing part was the refs called the play dead long after the infraction occurred and while the Flyers had control.

The linesmen are supposed to advise the refs if they believe a penalty is warranted but only after a stoppage of play. Play hadn't stopped.

I would be PISSED if someone did that to a Flyer tbh. He propelled himself right into the guy's knee. I watched it again just now, and Gudas was so squat to the ice.

He could very well be looking at a suspension because that looked dirty as (frank). No way was that remotely close to hip on hip. It was hip on torn knee ligament territory.

That's the one part I don't like about Gudas. He tried to run someone in the first period and was completely out of control.

After they decided it was clipping, it was a major plus a game because the player was injured.

Even as a big Gudas fan, I have to agree. He takes things too far.

You think he was trying to take out the guys knee? Looked to me like the Canadien tried to avoid the hit and ended up getting his knee clipped. Hip check is a legal check. You've got to get low to get your hip out like that.
